Joe is taking an angle on this ticket story from the start. He's essentially buttering it up so that any Irish involved are innocent and the Brazilian cops are doing something illegal or dodgy at best.

It's getting a bit nauseating, you have to accept that different countries do the implementation of the law differently, e.g. in the US court cases are regularly televised, here they are not; in Brazil they release photos of passports and tickets, here we don't do that.

But it's a bit like the Peru 2, innocent as they are Irish when found guilty after admitting it, they are still "innocent" in his book.
