Seems as if Valdimar Nuts is actually Vladimir Kuts, and improved his WR a year later.

So he didn't disappear after all.


He also won the national titles in 1 51, 1 53 and 1 56. So he had been heard of before, too. But never mind, let's not let facts ruin a boring story.
