New DSL connection constantly dropping - is this a real excuse

    Hi folks,

Got Eir broadband installed this morning. Seemed great initially but now the DSL connection keeps dropping intermittently making it impossible to watch Netflix etc and really irritating overall.

Tech support say the line has been set to 90Mbps but it may only stably support less than that. So they're going to reduce it.

In 3 to 5 business days when my landline officially comes over. Apparently they cannot downgrade the speed until then.

Til then I've a **** largely unusable connection.

Is this an actual real thing? Has anyone else experienced this?
