Don't deserve to be level but I'll take it.

You'd imagine there'd be quite a few bollockings at half time and an improvement in the second half.

Lalanna has been awful...keeps giving the ball away in dangerous areas.

Thank God for Coutinho. I think we need Origi to come on.

Pool really need a serious kicking at half time though, that was a shocking first half that shouldn't be papered over by that free kick

You are going to have to address the reasons outlined by my self and other posters as to why he was at fault.

This Gary Nevelle told us so sh1te is childish.

We did not have anything approaching secure possession, he left his entire back line and went to left wing alongside the midfielders.

No doubt someone else lost the ball but that cannot excuse all that succeeds it.

I did address it, if you read the posts.
You dont even mention the player that lost the ball doing something silly in a dangerous position.

As I said, Moreno is obviously under instruction to go forward, especially for counter attacks, he went.
Then a player made a big mistake(that doesnt get blamed, and folks on here doesnt even know who did it). And moreno gets blamed for doing what he was told to do. Like many full backs.

Get Grujic and Origi on......tell Moreno to pack up his stuff and **** off.....

Basically! Shocking lack of everything in that first half. No zip, the middle and the attack are estranged, Origi will act as the focal point and his sheer speed will mean he offers something for the Arsenal back to be wary of.

    Klavan has been excellent

Move Clyne to LB....Can goes to RB......should be better than whats happening now...

Why move can to rb he played lb for Bayer he would be grand there.

    Fantastic goal from the magician.

Yeah, losing the ball outside your own box with defenders pushing out is the problem. Was it Lallana trying another 360 turn that got dispossessed? The pass was underhit probably too by Coutinho.

perhaps Moreno had too much faith in the midfielders to keep the ball.

    This isn't five aside.

You don't get to just run forward the second your team wins possession deep. We had the ball for about 3 or 4 seconds, inside our own third and Moreno decided to go ahead of everybody else and towards the touchline.

There was just no real rationale for his decision to vacate the space so quickly and so recklessly.

We all acknowledge this silliness of Lalanna losing possession.

    Origi on. Firmino off please.

For some balance, the goal was not Morenos fault.

We were counter attacking and he was breaking forward like he is supposed to. Lallana I think lost the ball. Moreno wasn't in the LB position, but he wasn't supposed to be.

    Still, he's been hilariously bad

I'd keep Firmino on. Lalanna would be my sub.

    "He went"

That's all you have to say?

Well, apologists still around its clear to see.

Pool have been so bad it's disappointing but arsenal haven't been good either.

Ramsey has to stop thinking he's Pele reborn and get his act together. Walcott anonymous but scored, I guess. Elmanny not really that good but industrialist. Chambers on clown level like moteno.

    Moreno off, Can on.
    Wijnaldum off, Stewart on.
    Firmino off, Origi on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Klopp still needs to do something to change this. Arsenal havnt had to be good to dominate this game, they're pressing well and Liverpool are panicking.

Origi for Lallana, drop Coutinho back and Firmino takes Coutinho's position

No, the liverpool fans dont, you are the first to say it. He made a big mistake. It was him. Lallana.

Liverpool did have the ball. It was a counter attack. If Lallana had of got away with a little turn and launched a super cross field pass, many would say, great running from Moreno.

Indeed, Firmino isn't a bad striker but playing as a lone striker isn't his cup of tea & see Origi to best effect Firmino should be kept on.

We look terrible but we're level. Very few positives to take away from the first half. Need to seriously up our game to stay in this. If we're still level at 60 mins then we've every chance. I wouldn't change anything at half time but haul off Lallana and Moreno for Can and Origi after a bit and then see how that goes

Livid with how bad we've been but the fact we're not losing is a massive positive that I hope they can use

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Lalana has done nothing, he takes 4/5 touches every time and slows us way down......really disappointing all round though not just him.....

    I'd get Origi on ASAP.....

we need a Mechanic Resurrection in the second half!!

    Is that all I said??????

And Im not an apologist. I could not give a fudge bout him. He made a balls of the penalty.
But the point I was originally making, was no one mentioned Lallana, and the big mistake he made. Everyone just jumped on moreno, as he is awful. But it was not his fault for the goal. It was Lallana

Wij and Henderson are both being hindered by their position, neither thrive from that deep. Surprised Grujic isn't on.

Agreed but defender shouldn't have his hands on player.

Gas. All that preseason training, and Liverpool come out and play like that. Scratching my head here. Origi to come on and put them to the sword.
