Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not liking that only one academy product is in the 18 on that's Rashford on the bench, but it's not surprising really. Anyone know what happened to Lingard?

    Injured

    Easy 15-0 win for Utd.

Mourinho sending Mata a message by starting him. Clearly wants him out.

My guess, is Mata will be gone by 70mins today. (wide/forward players are usually first to be subbed anyway)
And I dont think he'll be with man utd by February 2017.

Bailly is a bit mad isn't he?

Ibrahimovich penalised for challenging for a header. Makes sense.

Fairly pedestrian so far. Tony V is the man tho

  • Rooney anonymous

    Mata wasted on the right

Dare I say we are missing lingard

Shaw isn't at the races and is fat.

23 minutes before the first proper shot at goal by Utd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    That's better from martial

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

United very lacklustre and somewhat toothless. Attack totally severed from Defence and midfield not at the races.

    Slow and ponderous

Weird why utd are parking the bus and waiting for the counter ?? they've not much pace on the pitch... cant see why both Rooney and Mata are both starting.. suppose Mourinho doesnt want to concede a goal.

(they'll prob score a hatrick each now after my comments)

In fairness that's a massive improvement over last year. It was usually the second half before they had a shot then.

Is LVG still on the sideline? Boring stuff. Controlled football but, much like salad, you don't with friends with it.

Very lvg esque play from United so far

  • Piss weak shot
    Typical

I'm not going out of my way to criticize Rooney but that's a horrendously soft effort.

Is Micky Tyrion Lannister on the bench?

Second half of the season you mean, some even say that they're still waiting for an LVG shot

In a few games time I'd say the starting team will be vastly different.

The game is opening up a little.
Ibe showing signs he's found a final delivery.

Why are you only commenting on what Rooney's doing? We've far bigger problems than him. Ibrahimovic is playing a hell of a lot worse at the moment.

Sluggish start from United, Rooney is stinking the place out. Good to have a bit of physicality back in the side with Bailley and Ibra, we have played like a bunch of fannnies for the past few seasons. Nice to have decent options on the bench also, hopefully Rashford and Mikey get a run out in the second half.

The Rooney love in here is gas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,248 ✭✭✭✭BoJack Horseman

So, it's essentially Van Gaals team but with added slowness up top with Ibra instead of Rashers?

As I've said before ibra might do **** all then score or assist when it matters.

Rooney is the focal point of nearly every attack. It's slow, lethargic and effects the whole team.

Rooney has been surviving on his reputation for a few years now. Id play Mikhitaryan ahead of him. Not sure about Mata either.

    Poor selection, poor performance.
