Yeah just mean before his defeat to nate.

Said training for a specific fighter is a sign of fear.

Some people will scrape the very bottom of the barrel looking for something to chastise McGregor about.

Four of McGregor's eight UFC fights have had a fighter pull out with an injury. Conor each time has had the balls to show up and accept the last minute change of opponent. Mendes and Diaz were terrible matchups for him. Even with a full camp preparing for a wrestler/tall southpaw McGregor would find it difficult. Saving the card for the fans who pay good money to see their hero fight and fly the flag

    Eh you have me wrong.

I'm a big fan and actually said it's a good thing if he has changed his approach.

I was asking did he say in the past that he doesn't.

Nice one for just going off on one without reading my post properly.

    Amazing isn't it.

Just sitting waiting for someone to say something negative about conor so he can go full on attack.

I did read your posts and I agree with you in that I'm happy he's training specifically for Diaz. I don't put it down to him being scared or fearful. Circumstances for this fight are very different.

Hey, I didn't read your whole post, or look at the context. But right there in the middle you said "something negative about Conor", so screw you and your anti-bandwagoness!

He might or might not have trained for specific opponents before, but he was practicing that slip and counter for Aldo 20 minutes before the fight, was practicing for a specific move that time at least

As long as the audio is ok, this should be good.

Has the audio been good at any of these?

I've only partly listened to a few and they're usually very poor quality.

The audio from everything ufc related is terrible for the size of the production.

More that there's a good chance his opponent will pull out so there's no point training for him but he says he knows Nate will show up.

Yeah I laughed when he attempted to shift the narrative to that one too.

It makes too much sense for Nate to lose and set up the trilogy $$$

seriously? you'd want this pointless ego trip to go for a third time round? ugh

Hopefully the UFC have more sense than to allow it to happen

So you're suggesting Nate will lose on purpose?

It's imo a bad fight for McGregor for a host of reasons but as a fan it's one that I'm really looking forward to. The first fight was a great toe-to-toe battle and I'd expect this to follow suit.

If mcgregor wins theyll stick the wheels on his badwagon and start the engine. Cant see there being a third fight unless its furrher down the road

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,290 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Win or lose I'd imagine UFC want McGregor picking a weight class and defending/making a run for the title.

Well it's an extremely profitable fight for the UFC.

Main card normally starts at 3am. Conors fight will be main event which will be around 5-5:30

for sure, but UFC loses a lot of credibility when they start putting ridiculous grudge matches on just for the sake of money. If they'd made it at lightweight, then it actually would have made sense even for the rankings, but the welterweight nonsense spoils it completely imo.
