A lot of potential choices this week....Mahrez is seriously tempting me vs Arsenal.

Zlatan is off to the races already though. He's now scored on his debut in the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1 and even the Champion's League. Is this a sign of things to come?

Aguero if he doesn't play tomorrow. Zlatan if Aguero does play tomorrow.

Ibra or Firmino or Hazard. Probably Ibra if he's more than 50% in the polls

I dont know why, but really good feeling on Firmino :)

Will have to see how the match goes tonight first, but I'm already getting that punty feeling and Ayew against Bournemouth is sounding nice :D

    Kane. Easy decision.

Aguero if I feel like playing 'safe' but Firmino and even Vardy are under consideration.

Even after such a quiet day on Saturday and possibly Janssen starting in front of him? He'd be in my mind if I had him for sure but I don't think he'd be the one I ended up pulling the trigger on.

Firmino I think for me....unless I get Kane in for Vardy

With what I'm spending on Zlatan if I dont captain him at home then why would I have him at all. Aguero will probably punish me for slapping vice captain on him of course...

I've never understood this reasoning at all. Just because he costs a fortune doesn't mean he has to be captain material, on the regular, in order to be worth it. I've seen people say the same about Sanchez, Silva etc. and cannot see the validity of the reasoning.

Southampton have a good record at OT though. Zlatan against VVD will be an interesting battle.

It's on Zlatan for now but might change back to Aguero depending on tomorrows game

I was thinking the same but his general threat yesterday didn't fill me with the confidence to follow through on that.

As such his value at 11.5 is subject to the next few games.

I look at it more like I'm paying for a great option and potential captain option. If I think Ibra will "only" score one goal and Firmino will get double digits, I'm happy both do well and for my captain to get extra points.

Aguero for now but will see how Hazard does tonight. I'm not feeling very well disposed towards Firmino today.

And Payet gets the armband for my FSA World Cup French team!

    Unlikely.

Good chance he will play alongside him rather than instead of him.

I meant Kane would be behind him, rather than on the bench.

Would like to pick Vardy, with Arsenals dodgy defence. Will end up going safe and picking Aguero though.

    Aguero.

or Mané if I'm feeling really frisky.

To Zlatan or not to Zlatan as the Zlatan dictionary of English would say.

    Zlatan.

Hazard at Watford is looking an option too now.

Watford are currently playing a winger/striker in the right wing back role. Hazard could do some serious damage on Saturday. I don't see how I can get him in without sacrificing Sanchez which I don't wanna do. So many dilemmas.

Aguero has indeed been inserted in the Champions playoff game. He has missed two penalty attempts.

However, Aguero has scored 2 on the pitch. Only 83 minutes in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Well, this has become a bit of a head-scratcher now.

Hat trick now. Hard to take the armband off him in this form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

I would like to retract my initial statement and just leave the captaincy on him anyway

Hard not to stick it on Aguero now.

Wouldn't read much into results against weak European opposition, Memphis was a world beater in the playoffs last season (obviously not apples to apples).
    Haz(c) Ibra(vc) for me

But I hate captaining anyone in the early Saturday morning kick off :(

There's no reason why you shouldn't. That myth has been busted. :)

Initially going for Vahrez but I think I'll put it on Hazard. Looked lively last night and will be against a poor Watford team IMO.

Majority will be on Aguero after tonight, missed the game but a hat trick will have most people on him. Haz could be a good differential.

Didn't fancy Aguero with europe midweek but can't argue with form... really fancied giving payet a shot though :/

jeez aguero running away with it
added to the fact many will miss the deadline and keep him captained has me worried about possibly going with zlAtan

Aguero missed 2 pens last night. That has to be considered.

Aguero could have had 5 yesterday. Easy decision for me, too early to be taking risks.

Aguero all day after that hattrick last night. Just hope he's not fatigued.

Watch Aguero come off after 59 minutes now at the weekend.

Tempted by Vardy against a wobbly Arsenal defence but based on last night showing have to go for Aguero

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

I've found not having a fit Aguero captained just leads to bad times, very bad times.

    Don't not do it.

Was originally on Zlatan but after his midweek performance i have to give it to Kun. Butland out injured increases City's attacking potential too a bit i feel

Gone with the 'safe' option of Aguero, VC is on Firmino.

As long as he scores a hat-trick before that!
