East Coast Beach Casting - much weed out there now?

Has anyone been beach casting on the east coast this month. Is there much weed about? Tried in mid-july and several beaches were unfishable.

Weed can come and go with the tide. What was unfishable today can be perfect tomorrow. It is often worse after a storm. Try an alternative venue if you can. One beach might be unfishable while another beach just a few miles away will be fine.
