Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I cannot remember the name of it, but it will come to me. I will post here when I remember. Some of our non farming neighbours dogs were also killed by this poison (few years back) confirmed by the vet. I just remember him telling me it was banned and that farmers used to use it ( when it was allowed) and since it was banned some still obviously had stock and continued to use it, probably for foxes or rats or whatever farmers feel they need to control (pests)?

So your cats went onto the farmers land and got poisoned and it's the farmers fault?

Im not contradicting myself, the point im putting across is too the op this person didnt stop and at first glance didnt care that they had killed her cat.

Thats the pain they are going through which i was trying to portray.

It is possible that the person didnt know(althought very unlikly as running over a cat is quite an unexpected bump) but at this point in time the op is suffering and this is what i was explaining

What were they supposed to do if the cat was dead?

    Stop. Show remorse. Care.

Stop, see if the animal was injured and could be brought to a vet. If the animal was dead, bring to a vet and see if a microchip was scanned so the owners could be notified that their beloved pet had passed.

You know, have empathy, be a decent person.

Remorse? But if the cat ran in front of the car it would be his fault.

yeah and if a child ran in front of your car and hit it you wouldnt show remorse as the childs parents would be at fault

The driver may have shown remorse for the situation and could been sympathetic towards the OP for sure ... If they had known they hit the cat.

Ahem , but in fairness a child is not a cat

Is there something wrong with you mentally? Seriously?

You are in a thread where someone has lost their pet and thats your contribution?

no of course not, however as iv said some peoples pets are basically children to them.

However i was using an extreme example to discredit the post

Anybody watch Celebrity Big Brother? This joker reminds me of Bear - winding people up regardless of hurt feelings.

    Okay folks,
I almost gave up reading this thread half way through because it's always the same old, same old... Isn't it? The same heads, the same sh!t stirrers who rock up to the Animals and Pets forum with the sole intention of stirring sh!t. Every. Bloody. Time.
How in the name of jebus did we get from someone being devastated by the sudden and violent loss of their pet, to them being advised to approach the car owner to compensate them? Who would do that, and run along with it, only a sh!t stirrer who just wants to annoy everyone.
So. You know who you are, sh!t stirrers. So do we mods. The next small transgression out of ye will result in an immediate ban from the forum, without warning.
If you can't post with sympathy and/or respect, feck off to another forum.
    Thread remaining closed.
