Can't see further than captain Aguero.Zlatan to tear Southampton a new one also.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,211 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Bit early I thi .... ah forget it!

    Heaton
    Amat Shaw Friend
    Sanchez Hazard Redmond Lamela
    Vardy (c) Aguero Gray

    Jaku - Stones Capoue Souaré

I think Vardy will do well against Arsenal who are going to be missing some key players. Hopefully another high-scoring week for my team to improve on my 160k ranking.

    Foster

    Amat Terry Stones Shaw

    Deulofeu Lamela Firmino

    Vardy Kun(c) Ibra

    Redmond benched... will it work?

    Foster
    Shaw, Friend, Amat
    Hazard, Firmino (vc), Lamela, Ramirez
    Aguero (c), Vardy, Gray

    Jakupovic, Redmond, VVD, Souare

Redmond or Ramirez was my only real decision.

    De Gea

    Walker Stones Shaw

Mahrez Fabregas Coutinho (c) Martial (vc)

    Kane Lukaku Gray

Which 3 defenders to play out of these 5?

Amat (HUL) Shaw (SOU) Baines (wba) Stones (stk) Friend (sun)

Currently on Amat, Shaw and Baines, even though I think Stones and Friend have reasonable chances of CS. Baines' attacking potential against a toothless WB means he's a cert. Amat and Shaw at home seem the most likely CS.

Any thoughts? It is what you a call a "nice" problem". But can't help feeling I'll leave some points on the bench.

    Foster
    Friend stones Valencia
    Mahrez tadic Townsend Oscar mane
    Aguero c. Vardy
    Sub diomande. Amat souare
I expect mane not to play but not sure if amat should start ahead of any of the other defenders

    Foster
    Valencia Stones Amat
    Alli Hazard Redmond Routledge
    Aguero Kane(c) Vardy

    (Jaku - Friend Capoue Souare)

Wasn't expecting to be able to bank a transfer so that's a nice bonus.

    Foster
    Shaw, Stones, Amat
    Mahrez, Redmond, Firmino(vc) , Lamela
    Aguero(c), Ibra, Gray

    Jak, Fletcher, Friend, Kone

Had a bit of a dilemma with what Def to start and no doubt Ive left my CS on the bench!

    Foster
    Valencia, Kone, Amat
    Redmond, Lamela, Sanchez, Hazard (vc)
    Gray, Vardy, Aguero (c)

    Jakupovic, Stones, Capoue, Friend

Banked the transfer, and benched Stones for Kone. Might wuss out of that one yet though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,521 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

    De Gea

    Sagna Kingsley Evans

    Barkley Hazard Davis Eriksen

    Aguero Zlatan(c) Gray

    Sub: Jak Capoue Friend Mee

Friend and Mee could end up off the bench. Still see Capoue as bench fodder but might play him instead of Davis.

Only real decision for me is whether I start Capoue or Redmond, leaning towards Capoue at the moment

Finding it tough to decide on back 3
    At the moment it's

    Heaton
    Shaw, stones, Amat
    Firmino, Lamela, Tadic, Mahrez
    Ibra(vc), Aguero(c), Gray

    Jakupovic, Friend, Kone, Capoue

Redmond all day long for me. I know Capoue scored last week, but I do not think he is suddenly going to become a regular goal scoring midfielder. Also, I would not expect much attacking output from Watford v Chelsea.

On the other hand, Redmond looks to be playing as a forward in a team that has not lost at Old Trafford since the Fergie era. I would fancy Southampton to nick at least a goal and Redmond seems as likely as anyone to be invovled

Can't decide between double Pulisball - Foster & Evans (worked out nicely last week !!!!) or Foster & Amat with Evans on bench

    Foster (Jaku)

    Stones/Shaw/Amat (Evans, Friend)

    Tadic/Silva/Lamela/Mahrez/Oscar

    Vardy/CaptKun (Diomande)

Seems to be a split decision ... some are benching him, others are not.

Form over fixtures would suggest that you should start him but Capoue also has form.

For me it comes down to Redmond is an attacking MF playing up front and Capoue is a defensive midfielder who occasionally gets foward.

Rolling over my transfer but just trying to decide whether or not to start Gray.

How was he against Swansea last week?

If I take him out, my options are to bring in either Evans in defence or Capoue in midfield - which would be better?

Well Feghouli's injury means they'll both play for me now, unless I replace Feghouli this week. Replacement options aren't great though!

I thought his performance was encouraging. Like any striker he thrives on confidence. I think he will do well once he gets that first goal.

Should I make any changes or am I ready to go:? :

    De Gea
    Shaw, Stones, Amat
    Redmond, Lamela, Townsend, Hazard
    Aguero, Vardy, Gray

    Subs: Jaku, Morgan, Friend, Feghouili

Could not decide which players to bench. So to heck with it. Bench boost triggered!

    Capt Zlat.

Morgan for Stones maybe but only marginally. Otherwise looks good.

Debating whether to bench boost with Heaton, Amat, Friend and Fletcher on the bench.
Prb best to hold off another couple of weeks.

New to this, need help (have to beat an 11 year old!!)
    Adrian
    Stones Kingsley Friend
    Snodgrass(V) Mahrez Mane Willian Cabaye
    Kane(C) Origi

    Hart Fonte van Dijk Long

The team got picked at 1am last Fri night so not the best! Hart is for the door for GW3. Also need to get rid of either van Dijk or Fonte as both from same team. What do you think?

Mane is an injury doubt, and Origi will most likely be a sub unless Mane is injured, so both of them is too much

Long term I don't see Origi starting many games, so maybe move him on ??

really dont like these Friday evening game weeks
takes a lot of the fun out of it
also I don't think it will matter too much for people who miss the deadline this week
most will have aguero or maybe zlatan captain anyway and will have 2 FT next week

Yup. Just to really fry our brains, missing the first Friday deadline of the season will actually probably benefit the pesky casuals! :D

I think with it been united at home, and sky hyping up Mourinho's first home game, I wouldn't expect a lot of people to miss out.

Ideally what we need is watford away to west brom or something like that on a friday night to catch out alot of people.

Have they announced how many Friday night matches there will be? There was just one last year if I recall correctly?

Settled on the following line up, having banked my transfer:

    Foster

    Amat, Baines, Shaw

    Oscar, Firmino, Redmond, Ramirez

    Aguero (C), Zlatan, Vardy

    Subs: Jako, Stones, Friend, Hojbjerg

Slightly worried that Man City and Boro could keep clean sheets, but have to make a call somewhere.

Planning to go Oscar & Vardy > Hazard & Benteke after the weekend, unless there is compelling reasons not to come Sunday night.

A back injury rules Lamine Kone out of Sundays Wear-Tees derby. #SAFC

Wish I had a Boro attacker, probably be JOS and Djilbodji at CB

10 for the season, I believe. Last season was only because of some nationalist party rally in Birmingham and police moved Villa-ManU

Maybe! Be interesting if there was a big captaincy swing but not this week.

Week 5 has a Friday night kick off (Liverpool/Chelsea). City are home to Bournemouth, having been away to united in week 4. Thats will be interesting :D

VVd and Fonte together is not your biggest problem - Southampton's defence may be decent.

Mane is injured but maybe not longterm. Origi is a far from guaranteed starter. Cabaye will not get you many points, and with chelsea looking better than last season already, Willian's start last year will probably look like an exception soon. Snodgrass should be a supporting fourth mid, not a vice captain. Defence is okay.

I'd prioritise shifting Origi, Cabaye, Willian in that order, and you need Man City and/or Man Utd coverage (Hart doesn't count but with adrian, he's low priority except for the likely price drops)

Well, firstly I would start PVA. If you have him, you would want him starting most weeks, especially at home and espcailly v Boro. I would take out Van Dijk.

Llorente is a punt against Hull, but Aguero/Hazard are the safer options, even if they are away.

Noble at home to Bou. coming in for Mane isn't too bad, so I don't think you are in too bad a position, but you might want to look into downgrading some defenders and reinvesting that money elsewhere.

    Valencia, Stones, Friend, Amat, McAuley.

Probably go for Valencia, Stones and Friend.

I expect many people who look in on a Friday evening after work will see that the deadline is looming or indeed has already passed.
