Himself and Pogba were poor. Not a great game by any means.

    Well that was fúcking dreadful.

    Really really awful game.

Must of been the worse of the PL season to date

Sky have been bigging this up for about 2 weeks now!!!

    I feel a 0-0 coming on!

    Told yas lol.

De Gea must be man of the match for the two saves? Only bit of quality in the game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

That's a massive ****ing waste with City and Spurs dropping points this weekend.

Don't approve of thst garbage method at all.

Even Van Gaal could go to Anfield and play Liverpool of the park.

We played for a point, we got a point..

    Yeap.

Very obvious that the tactics were to negate Liverpool's high tempo game and just frustrate them.

Would have liked a win, but will happily take the draw given we were touted as massive underdogs.

DDG, Herrera, Fellaini did well. Ibra offered nothing. He's too slow for that sort of "Hope to hit them on the break". Would rather we start Rashford upfront on games like that.

The famous Liverpool press? All I seen was the Ander press he deserved his man of the match was excellent.

That was a scuttery game but will take it all day long one of our toughest fixtures of season out of the way.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭deaddonkey15

A very predictable result and sadly, a result that was probably as good as we could have hoped for.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Was dire to watch, sucked the life out of that game

But as been said, team played for a draw and got the draw

Herrera,Big Dave,Young and Tony V were very good,

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Shame we didn't have Mickey and Martial for the last 15mins and give it a go. Liverpool can be shut down and hopefully Mourinho has left a blueprint to other teams.

Game was crying out for Mata, Pogba was awful and should have been hooked.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

    Happy with that result. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,495 ✭✭✭✭bucketybuck

Anybody who can't see that value in that result needs to start looking past the chip on their shoulder.

A braver José and that game was for taking.

Decent result and decent performance for what was being asked in an awful game.

Ibras worst game in a Utd shirt and bar one moment, Pogba was utter muck.
I'm beginning to wonder if he's the wrong player at the wrong time for the club.
Worst Utd player on the pitch and that's saying something with Ibras display.

Kudos to Ashley Young for coming in and putting in such a disciplined performance like that.

Herrera and Fellaini look well together and with a third midfieleder ahead of them look like they could be a regular partnership there. I'm just not sure Pogba is the man.

On a plus note Herrera grasping this opportunity is brilliant. Was so good.

Surprised how we seemed to press them first half, and Herrera was the main driver. Seems a bit of a leader on the pitch to me

    Ronaldo, £85 million. Instant impact.
    Bale, £85-90 million. Instant impact.
    Suarez, £70 million. Instant impact.

Tall Paul, £90 million. Intricate haircuts.

He needs time, Liverpool hounded him and Ibra due to them being isolated a lot for that second half.

The game was there for the taking in the first half.

Mata would have done **** all in that game, it wasn't the place for him.

Creatively what we needed was a different option to Zlatan, it was pace for a counter attack that was lacking, but sadly its something we just don't have in the squad yet.

Loved the chants at Anfield, Liverpool fans have variety of chants. From min 1 it was Ooooooohhhhhh..... Hhhhhaaaaaaaa...

Yep but with that price tag it ain't gonna happen.

Actually Lingard may have been a better choice.

Would have taken a draw beforehand but seeing our lack of ambition once we'd taken the sting out of the game was quite sad.

A braver José and that game was for taking.

Not at all a braver jose and we could of easily lost it in last half hour.

As Liverpool games go that was about the usual what happens same as last year only then we scored two goals against the run of play.

Time is something a player costing 90 odd million won't get much of.

    Woeful game of football.

At Madrid and Barca? They both did very well in their first seasons after big money moves in my opinion.

Totally agree, he was everywhere. Sometimes gets carried away and will always pick up bookings but a great player to watch.

I'm still not convinced he's right for the team. He is so wasteful with the ball.

Early days but I'm certainly concerned.

He wasn't great, but let's judge him at Christmas rather than jump on his back.

He nearly won the game with a great cross and Ibra fluffed it.

I'm not talking about first season, first few games. How many games it took for Suarez to score his first goal? Bale also started to play well after few months.

I doubt the guy cares if some guy in Ireland "jumps on his back" tbf.

The standard of La Liga is poor with Barca and Madrid taking all the money. Add to that, they aren't even the biggest players in their respected teams.

Herrera really should be one of the first names on the team sheet at this stage. We have so much more control with him in the middle. Pogba had one or two silky moments but was disappointing overall. Fellaini very solid in the middle. Amazing tackle aside, Valencia was still great. Blind was decent, smalling Bailly had a very comfortable night with the midfielders protecting them so well.

Rashford was fairly isolated and quiet. Ibra was poor, he really should have put his header on target.

Very solid and disciplined performance from Mourinho. Good to know he can still set out a quality defensive game plan when needed. That being said, Liverpool are quite an average side when you don't play to their strengths. Overall a point and clean sheet not the worst result.

Liverpool were the better team for the last half hour and created a few chances. Utd could hold onto the ball at all.

A draw is a very decent result, especially with the recent run of results.
I don't get the "a braver Utd could have gone on and won that". They could have just as easily, if not more likely lost it.

    Professional solid performance.

Thought Fellini was super. Played the ball winning role well.

Very structured and stuck to our plan. A step in right direction

Crap game as most of these big matchs turn out to be.

United never tried to win that game had one big chance and missed it. Other than that we done what we set up to do really.

    Come in peace.

Are Utd fans happy with the current style of play.

Never seen such a negative United side come to Anfield like that before.

Can't imagine Utd fans enjoy that sort of play and tactics. More used to Utd going to Anfield and other way grounds and tryng to win.

Not overly happy, but we kept your lot quiet and could have nicked it. I think Pool should be more unhappy with their performance.
