Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pep should give Van Gaal a ring, ask him how it ends when a manager stubbornly sticks to a "philosophy" at all times and regardless of circumstance.

Jones has conceded less this season.:P

City's only clean sheet this season has come when Stones was substituted after 30mins, hardly a coincidence.

If United were on a run similar to City,it'd be all over the media. It just goes to show no matter what they think, they really are pretty irrelevant.

We've got one win in our last 5 league games, we are on a similar run to City.

For a team with 5 points from the last 15 and a trip to Stamford Bridge in an hour or so, there's a remarkable amount of unwarranted bullishness in this thread.

Stones was a complete waste of money,I presume Pep only bought him because he is English?
So many better defenders they could have gotten .

I think Stones will be a quality CB in 2 or 3 years, he's under a lot of pressure at City.

Pep doesn't know how to organise a defence either.

What is going on with Mkhitaryan?

Delighted to see Willian not starting to be honest.

Chelsea delighted no martial or Carrick I would imagine.

A chance to go within 3 of City after their draw.Go for the win Jose.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Well I guess that settles it, Pep must be a busted flush. And only one more shot on target than we had at Anfield... a bit pathetic to see City parking the bus at home to Southampton like that, really.

Couldn't even do it with six minutes Peppie time and all.

5 without a win, is that a bit of a slump I see?

Throw the saucepan on the ground have soup all over the floor, leave cat in Kitchen turn volume on match up way high. Blame cat for knocking the soup

Try swinging it...... but only if you have room !!!!

Don't think carrick should be anywhere near the team against the stronger teams. He's not going to get the time and space to dictate play.

His lack of pace for defensive duties would kill the team.

Best option, better than anything I found on Google.

Because De Gea sprinting 20 yards out of goal was clearly the correct decision....

Would he have needed to do it if Blind wasnt so bad........I doubt it.

This is just so easy for Chelsea.

Mourinho needs to switch to an 8-1-1 formation. It's all he has left in his bag of tricks.

Jose just can't get his tactics right in these big games

Fcuk all to with tactics when you've got a braindead idiot like Smalling who can't mark someone

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,054 ✭✭✭ParkRunner

Our attack is so predictable, down the wing with a hopefully cross intothe box. Maybe 1 in 4 crosses will actually be met by a United player. Chelsea have much more joy going through the middle

This is Moyes-era awfulness on display from us today. We really are terrible in every area of the pitch.

You're right with that. Blind and Smalling are costing us this game big time

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    There was nothing in that

    Agreed 100%
It's not tactics that let a goal in within 30 seconds. That's 100% on the players and forces every tactic to be thrown out the window then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

Blind and smalling are having a shocker

They both have too many of these performances

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Smalling got caught out by Herrera's touch in the corner so not a whole lot there he could do but that first goal, dear lord.
