Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Had to win this game - can't even see us getting a goal never mind three.

Gonna need to see some individual magic from someone

Smalling got caught out by Herrera's touch in the corner so not a whole lot there he could do but that first goal, dear lord.

Ya for the second goal Smalling had that ball cleared only for the touch off Herrera caught him out

Tony V is the only player that can be happy with his first half performance

It's not tactics that let a goal in within 30 seconds. That's 100% on the players and forces every tactic to be thrown out the window then.

It's both tbh. The midfield set up makes no sense.

No idea what you're seeing, think he's been awful. Carrick and Schneiderlin should be starting over him and Fellaini imo

Pogba needs to start pulling his weight.

He dosnt seem to help out and all he seems to be doing is prancing around the pitch away from the ball.

It makes sense if he wanted to grind out another 0-0 draw like against Pool. It will probably be changed at half time, I guess.

This really has been very poor. Terrible first half from Utd. Chelsea not even that great either.

He's been God awful. We've been at our best with Mata in the team. Fenerbache; Leicster, Stoke without we are horrible inept in the final 3rd.

Need Mata on there for fellaini he hasn't contributed anything decent going forward.

We look so bloody lethargic out there.

Pretty much everyone with a heavy touch.

3 high pressure games in 6 days may be part of the reason but it cannot be the only one.

    Thank Christ it's half time

Ibra will be lucky not to be subbed, he not having any joy today

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,858 ✭✭✭Manutd_4life

Catastrophic - we're handing these 3 points to Chelsea.

  • Registered Users Posts: 209 ✭✭loudnoises89

Tony Martial and Young have to come on at half time.

Over-coached looking players again. Seems like there's so much rigid instruction the players are barely using their brain / instincts

Double sub of Carrick and Mata is what I would do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Smalling is lucky that Rojo doesn't get on ahead of him, absolute disaster of a game.

Mata, carrick and Martial were all warming up and I wouldn't be surprise to see all come on.

Martial and Mata on for Ibra and Fellaini

    Play Rashford up top

Fellaini running around doesn't know where he is playing.

Also playing way to defensive, line of 6 at the back joke

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,347 ✭✭✭Quandary

A truly shocking first half there. Too many players having nightmares out there. Pogba, Blind, Smalling have been abysmal. Fellaini poor too. Herrera having to do an awful lot on his own.

Pogba needs to be hooked he's been that poor. It's all well and good swanning around the pitch showing your skills against mediocre teams in the Europa league but if you aren't willing to do the leg work against quality opposition in the PL it counts for nothing.

Now we have to listen to Souness frothing at the gash as he savours a terrible Utd performance.

Remember that time not long ago when people were suggesting that Smalling was one of the best centre-halves in Europe?

    Ridiculous notion

Pogba wouldn't lace Paul Scholes boots, awful stuff yet again from the 90 million pound man

Come down off it. Rojo is easily one of the worst players we have ever signed. A mannequin would be better than that piece of thrash.

This is exactly why I dislike this plan. One brain fart and it's all out of the window and your team isn't set right. We have another brainfart and it's essentially game over.

Cannot get back into it when your team is set to counter.

Actually mental I'm having to say this but Fellaini needs off and Carrick on into Hererras position and move Herrera alongside Pogba.

And our wide players need to start taking some risks. Sitting way too deep.

If Pogba could actually turn up for this second half it would be great

I would take a mannequin over Smalling right now, Smalling is having a mare

A man considered to amongst the best managers in the world (and for some one of the best of all time) should have a plan B in place for worst case scenarios.

Let's see what Mourinho comes up with in the second half.

Wrong sub, will leave us even more exposed in midfield unless Pogba starts trying.

  • Registered Users Posts: 209 ✭✭loudnoises89

What's going on with Henrikh Mkhitaryan? Is he injured or does Jose not rate him? Him at his prime Dortmund level would turn this game for us. Instead we have the like of wasteful Lingard and floundering Felliani/Herrera doing a whole pile of nothing on the pitch.

At least pogba is capable of winning a game for us he has that ability even tho he has has a quiet half. No point in fellaini been involved when he is tripping over himself and not looking to advance play.

    Bailly down now. Bollox

Our only defender capable of defending is going off injured...........balls

No forward ahead of the ball there when Rashford had it. That's just ridiculous

    Not fit.

According to Mkhitaryan himself,he is fully fit and was stunned to have been left out of the squad for the Fenerbahce match.
Speaking after the match, Mourinho made it clear that he wants the Armenian to work harder in order to force his way into the side.

Our best passer sitting on the bench, our 2 fastest attacking players basically playing as wing backs. Awful

    Game over. Adios

Our league form this month is costing us and ultimately will cost us come the end of this season. Tragic
