Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ooooh. That line up could be a 4-1-2-1-2 I was talking about a while back...
    De Gea
    Val - Rojo - Blind - Shaw
    Carrick
    Herrera - Pogba
    Mata
    Rashford - Ibra

Carrick sitting back in between the CB while Val and Shaw provide the width.. here's hoping

Carrick, Herrera, Pogba plus Mata, be interesting to see how/if this works out.

No Rooney. Injured? Punished for that 'Players stunned by distant Mourinho!' article which implied a senior leak at the club? He's certainly not in need of a rest.

Injured apparently, going into the Chelsea game anyway and there doesn't seem to be an update since the weekend.

Mourinho needs to come out and explain the Mkhitaryan situation.

Agreed has he said much about it?

Things must be bad if he can't make the LC squad - is he Utd's version of Alberto Aquilani or Lazar Markovic? Bad luck if he is esp given his much bigger reputation

In the same way Ronaldo was United's version of Anthony Le Tallec.

Even as a United fan, it's hilarious how pissy some United fans are getting on here.

    "Weird that Mkhitaryan isn't playing."

"Yeah, well remember Anthony Le Tallec?! HA HA HA!!!"

Could Tuazambe (spelling) or even ro-sean williams not of played?

City seem to have to problem playing some young players tonight.

I would of rested Shaw for another game, played Rojo left back and then 1 of the young lads in center back.

On a totally separate note it really is odd that Mourinho is still living in a hotel since July, he could afford a block of Apartments let alone one. Especially since he does not like living in a hotel, could it be that difficult to find one. It's not like he would have to suss them out himself. It is odd indeed. Jose just go and buy a nice apartment and be happy. Obviously missing the family, first time I think he's been away from them for work related reasons .

A nice rendition of dirty oul town :)

I'm in no way confident about this match. Rojo at centre half is massively worrying.

Their central defenders not much better though., Kompany not near his best. Fancy our front line more than their starting one.

Should be 1 down after 80-ish seconds.

    Huge improvement from Sunday.

How did he manage when he was with Real Madrid and Inter? Did his family go with him then?

Shaws acceleration looks shot, probably lacking fitness

Lets see Shaw's brother complain now.

Shaw has fúcking shíte. He may as well be a training dummy when standing up to Navas.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,846 ✭✭✭✭Liam McPoyle

Shaw looks off kilter, obvious rustiness showing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

Shaw looking very poor against Navas. Like he's lost a yard of pace or something. Pogba with a few flashes but so far a nothing performance from him again IMO.

They school going , much easier, his daughter is 20 and in college in London. Son is 17 and in a football academy.

We watching the same game. United attacking and pressing for 45 mins. City break if with pace it's been a decent game of ball.

Best game i can remember from him anyway.

Cue him to give a way a peno or summit.

  • Great save
    Best move of the game

Rashers. Some player. Would love to see him down the middle he'd tear it up in behind

I love Herrera's passion but he really couldn't argue that that wasn't a free kick!

What a ****ing pass on his left.

Big improvement by United in second half. Herrera is a tenacious terrier, led by example tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,017 ✭✭✭sReq | uTeK

    GREAT WIN.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

    Liverpool, Fenerbache, Chelsea, City

If you'd offered me 2 wins a draw and a loss before embarking on the 10 day run, I'd probably have taken it. The manner of the loss hurts, but overall, happy with the results of the last few matches.

0 wins in 6 now for Pep. Still just a lack of luck? :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    Good honest second half performance

    Deserved the win.

Maybe Pogba should stay out on the left

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,846 ✭✭✭✭Liam McPoyle

Happy enough with the second half, though it has to be said it was half a City team.

Good to get the win, hopefully 3 points against Burnley at the weekend.

Great game from him tonight again. Delighted to see him taking his chance. Rojo was very solid in fairness to him too.
