Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ludicrous team selection. Absolutely ludicrous.

Rivals drop points and with our own history of not having the bottle to capitalise, we pick THAT team.

Hererra completely ommited? Carrick and Rooney starting? Shaw not in squad? Memphis at this stage gone in January.

Anything less then a win and there could well be an implosion. What a risky squad for this game

    Herrera suspended

Definitely looks like a Diamond to me with Young and Darmian having the stamina to get up and down the pitch.

No excuses today for Jose, this one is definitely on him should it go wrong.

Its interesting though. There are reports that behind the scenes there are some serious issues relating to certain players attitudes, and if thats the case then the manager should be supported when he decides to drop them and go with players he trusts.

But when it finally happens (if that is what is happening) then he gets a barrage of criticism about the lineup. How can he win?

The lineup seems worrying at first glance, but look deeper and I can sorta see the decisions that have led to it. Rashford needed to come out, Martial has been poor, Shaw needed dropping, injuries did for the defence and Jose had already lamented two LB's playing in the center so thats why Jones is in. Herrera is missing, Mikitarian has clear problems, that just leaves Schneiderlin and Depay and I doubt many really wanted them playing anyway.

Its not a great lineup but it hasn't come out of nowhere, it just seems like the end result of too many players not doing their jobs. Hopefully it works out.

    Oh yeah, ah duh.

Really thought they would have appealed that stupid second booking.

Head scratching team selection. I really hope he hasn't just banished mikytarian. He is a phenomenal player and took time to adjust in Dortmund so might be the same in England. Don't mind shaw being dropped as I think he is unfit and playing poorly.
Regardless of the team we really should be beating this poor Swansea side.

Can't you appeal a booking? Thought you could only appeal a straight red card but open to correction

You can't appeal a booking, apart from mistaken identity, i think.

You can't appeal a second yellow.

He could only appeal if it was a straight red

Can't appeal a yellow card offence, the appeal process is only for straight red cards

Revelation, manager just actually says it.

If a manager comes out at a press conference and says "this guys attitude stinks" then EVERYONE will back the manager and the player will be gonzo from the club with no tears, or will need to seriously turn it around.

I really never get the whole cloak and dagger stuff, its really silly. If managers were more forthright with fans, they would get a lot more patience and sympathy.

Instead its behind the scenes stuff and fans treated like they are knuckle draggers. It's so annoying.

Well after having a **** attack looking at our team I just seen the Swansea back 4, two inexperienced CBs and the same at LB. Both teams to score, United to win and Ibra two or more. Get on it, should be an interesting game

Because if a manager says his attitude stinks players value instantly drops clubs want that player and know he is available but manager doesn't Like him.

Press conferences mean absolutely Jack sh1t these days they are a chore for the players and staff and who could blame them the over scrutiny of the press has ruined them and social media a player can't give his time personal opinion or. Have a bit of craic with another club or player on his own social media account or he will be in the papers and tv the next day.

If Mourinho said a player's attitude stinks in a press conference it would just be another example of him apparently throwing players under a bus. There would be no benefit to him saying it whatsoever.

Considering what you said above wouldn't it be the perfect match to give miki some premier league minutes to?

I don't think the issue with Mkhi any more is fitness or lack of minutes, or whatever. There's been some sort of fallout between player and manager. Don't know the reason or who has caused it, but for whatever reason, Mkhi's career at United seemed to take a massive, massive hit before it even began....

    Are you for real?

People already accuse Jose of throwing players under the bus, just this week an innocuous comment after the midweek game was labelled as Jose blasting the players, if Jose or any manager went into a press conference and publicly slated the players there would be a queue of screaming detractors a mile long.

If Jose went into a presser and said that there was a rotten core to the playing squad that would take time to root out and that his players attitude stinks, then he would get slaughtered. Any manager would get slaughtered, its not "cloak and dagger" nonsense to keep these things in-house, its simple common sense.
