Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wouldn't tar all their fans over something Noel Gallagher says..

I posted a similar story before, they are a weird lot.I know one old time City fan and he hankers for the old days and said many more are like him.The 'new Cty' is just too "artificial" for their liking.
I liken it to a type of Stockholm Syndrome, they were so used to being rubbish that this new found money and success is alien and disconcerting to them.

They used to belong to a club, felt part of a community. This is suddenly take away, and they don't like it. Perfect to understand. With other clubs it happened slowly, Like your club, so they don't mind being corporation clients instead of part of a club.

Jeez, I just seen the photos of the mass of empty seats from their game last night. It was particularly bad, although you can spot empty seats there for the vast majority of their games.

Definitely a "money can't buy you love" chant to come out of this, similar to what Everton were singing when Chelsea were trying to buy Stones. When you see the passion other fans have for their team, it's a pathetic showing.

To put it in context, 30,000 people turned up to see Guardiola's City side in the Champions League last night. Sheffield Wednesday got 38,000 for a league one game vs Wycombe a couple of years ago.

Am I the only one that didn't know the match was on at 6 today oops.

Old Trafford will probably have 20 thousand empty seats for our home game with Zorya, if not more.

It be good to see if schneiderlin and Darmian can give the manager food for thought.

Also looks like Pogba has a more advanced role possibly even rooney position see how he does there.

Looking forward to watching no that middle three. On paper it's the best 3 we have imo, and the 3 I would have picked before the start of the season in a 433 formation. Pogba free to roam. Yes.

Sneaky 6:00 game nearly missed it. Or else I dont pay much attention

All our group Europa League away games are at 6, the home games at 8

Yikes, also thought it was 8 :P

Thats a stronger team than I initially thought we'd play, but really looking forward to seeing Pogba be given the more advance role.

Memphis on the bench. Jose must not fancy him then

I'd imagine if we're winning by 60th minute, he'll yank Martial. Martial really needs the confidence though, and while this won't be an easy game, it's the type of game you'd be playing the likes of Martial to get him back up to speed.

I'd love to see him get on the pitch and dribble past a few players and smack in a shot from outside the box..... but I'd settle for him getting on the pitch.

I just heard that Jones is injured again and I thought it was a bad joke. The guy doesn't play any competitive football and he still can't stay healthy. I think that's his 21st injury since he came to United. He's just an absolutely waste of a squad position imo and I was shocked him an Rojo weren't moved on during the summer.

I would love to see this lineup succeed. It would be brilliant if Schneiderlin and/or Herrera could work their way into the team.

Rashford very poor so far, given the ball away extremely cheaply 3 times now, 3 terrible passes. Expect and am used to far better ball retention from him.

Is it the camera angle or is it a small pitch?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,519 ✭✭✭Flint Fredstone

This is fairly boring, we are looking very flat. The ref is annoying me too :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,379 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Schneiderlin has done well so far imo. Tracked and tackled well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭JaMarcusHustle

WTF, why did this kick off so early?

Edit: never knew EL kicked off at 6.

**** me they are clattering into the Utd players.

Ref would want to start getting the card out, although he is extremely whistle happy.

First half is very reminiscent of Moyes' United. Slightest bit of pressing and aggression from the opposition and we struggle.

Very hard to keep any momentum going with the way Ferynoord are tackling. They seem to be set up to disrupt us any way possible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,379 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Pogba good in spots, but not enough. Martial, rashford disappointing so far. Schneiderlin and Herrera busy in midfield, happy enough with those two.

Just in and missed the first half. Did Pogba start at 10?

    Mata who was poor
Think Pogba may have been pushed up now after 3 subs

I was kind of looking forward to the Europa League, United playing mid-week and all but this has sapped all my enthusiasm.
