Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got to love how he hammered that in, a lot of players would have just rolled it in shows how much it means to him to score.

Both keepers in this match terrible with the ball in the air while under any kind of pressure. Rashers almost created a sonic boom sprinting for that ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

    Rooney showing his class again:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

First touch of a baby Hippo.

In fairness it came at him at s fair pace.

Another debut competition goal for Rashers?

people need to stop making excuses for him at this stage ffs, that was absolutely atrocious and indicative of his overall contribution for 18 months or more now.

    lazy and pathetic

To be fair, fair play to him. He was under severe pressure and the easy option was to just clear the lines, but he had his head up looking at what was on. An agricultural kick up field ill grant you but he head the idea in his head. Great to see. He's been good tonight.

Oh and I know it's a minor thing but, I just love seeing players chasing down lost causes like Rashford did and he got the bit of luck he deserved.

Im not making excuses for him ffs. Watch it again. I think he's lost it as a player but Jesus Christ some people will use anything as a stick to beat him.

I'm sure if it was anyone but Rooney that miscontrolled that you wouldn't be describing it as atrocious, lazy and pathetic.

Paddy McNair scored twice for Sunderland

I can't wait until after the game where we will be told that in actual fact the stats show that Rooney had a good game.

I see McNair got 2 goals this evening - anyone feel another £100m buyback on the horizon? :pac:

There are others calling Rojo and Young out for their display, but once again Rooney has shown that he doesn't belong at the club with another poor performance.

Rooney isn't lazy. That's just wrong.

He covers a huge amount of ground and never hides.

His form has sucked but he's not lazy.

So he runs for miles, so what? He's too lazy to maintain a basic skill like trapping a ball.

    A disgrace.

Thought Rooney did okay up front, better than a lot of Zlatans performances in terms of his use of the ball and decent touches.

Very worried about Jose's accommodating him though, don't see much point in putting him out on the wing.

After three seasons form becomes a poor description of a player unable to compete at the heights they once did.

    Glazers Out!

the name of jaysis did he do with that free kick, totally incorrect weighting on the ball.

    what was he at?

With something as fat and useless as Rooney there does it then become a bingo wing?

    Zlatan has been fairly sh*te...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

    Good cross there

    The quadruple is still on

  • Love Herreras attitude

    Zlatan has been fairly sh*te...

I can't agree with that. He had some lovely lay offs and held the ball up well. Also had a few lovely incisive passes. The one to Fellaini being the pick of the bunch.

This team needs to to play either Rooney or Zlatan as the attacking focal point and IMO, Zlatan gets the nod all day ahead of Rooney.

    What time is the draw?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    Herrera is very likeable.

Carrick talking a lot of sense.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭bangkok

carrick motm, fantastic performance from him, exactly what we are lacking in the team. hopefully he starts v leicester on saturday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,689 ✭✭✭sky88

Honestly think the team would so much better if Rooney and zlatan were dropped.

Two of them have been poor

Would fear playing carrick against a team with lots of pace like Leicester
