Apologies if this was mentioned already in another thread but i couldn't find it.
FM17 release date has been announced plus some other information:
    Football Manager 17

If you sign up for the insider mails and have played previous versions of the game since FM13 through Steam, you'll get 5% off each one towards the purchase price of FM17.

Well its still impressive you have the max 20% discount! :)
Not many other franchises ever add in a discount so i will give them some credit for that this time around.

How do you go about availing of this discount? Is it just preorder it and it's applied automatically or do you have to do something else?

  • Registered Users Posts: 460 ✭✭keithc83

Yeah its applied automatically through Steam, i can see on mine i'm getting a 10% discount on the preorder through the store.

My other half buys it for me locally every Christmas, then gives out that I play it non stop for about 2 months.

Jan and Feb are dark early anyway🀗

It'll have to be an improvement on 16 for me to buy it

I hated football manager 2016 so I really hope I hear some good reviews about this game before buying it

    Impossible to defend I found

    Impossible to defend I found

Impossible to create a good tactic without spending days on it, you have to put the time in like a real life manager and it's slightly taking the fun away from the game in my opinion

Crosses crosses and more crosses gets you plenty of goals in fm16

    was FM2015 better?

I'll buy it regardless. Best playing time to price ratio I get out of anything each year

Not even close for me, I played like maybe 130 hours of the witcher 3. In one fm my brother and I clocked like 1200 hours

    Hi folks,
Just a quick question if anyone can help. Laptop packed in, looking to buy a new one but would like one to run FM17 smoothly. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Inter have done some very interesting business this summer with Banega, Candreva, Gabigol, etc coming in and should make for a fun save in FM17.

Dortmund could be a good one too.

Have a look at PC Specialist in the UK - very impressed with the laptop I got from them.

I liked 16, but maybe I just lucked out with some tactics that were successful without taking me weeks to perfect?

My 3 formations are a 433 with inside forwards and a dm, a 4231 pretty standard and a 442, team instructions etc are very different for each one and all have been used regularly at one point or another.

I have just been reading that FM17 features will not be released until a few days before beta. Awful practice if so.

They want people to preorder as well. It absolutely stinks.

I would love to see a dynamic league price money.

As a leagues Reputation increases the prize money for the league would increases, like wise if the league decreases.

But i doubt we would see that for years

Even the ability to edit Prize money in game with the editor?

Got 20% off on steam for having the last 4, and I have another €17 in steam credit from selling a CSGO souvenir I was awarded while watching ESL One over the summer.

€26.67 is all I have to pay this year. Bargain. :D

Got my laptop off them, apart from an unresponsive space bar and noisey fans at times, its pretty good.

Got my first new laptop in about 7 years over the weekend. Very much looking forward to playing FM17 with a large database, loads of leagues, 3d matches (even though it doesn't look great it is better than the 2d overhead that I normally have to sue) and not having to wait an age for the game to respond.
