Someone told my mother that if you have a medical card that your college fees in the IT's are paid for. I have no clue of this is true it is my first hearing about it. Anyone know if its true?( As in in the IT's)

You don't have to have a medical card to get your fees paid, as long as it's your first degree and you fulfil the other criteria.

Qualifying for the medical card would give you a good chance of getting a grant on top of your fees.

This only applies to tuition fees, not student contribution (registration).

OP the information you have about medical card = no fees is wrong, but what spurious has said above is accurate - you might qualify for a grant. You need to apply to SUSI.
