Getting car insurance in NI with open claim in ROI

    I'm going to move to NI in a few months and will need to get a new car insurance there. I have an open claim against me here and I was wondering if that is going to have an impact on getting a quote over there.

    I'm not familiar with how NI / UK treats open claims but I know in ROI most insurers won't take someone on with an open claim.

    Having said that the uk market is substantially bigger than ours so I'd say best bet is to get onto a couple of brokers.
