Seem to have woken up a bit and are getting back into the game. That said the final ball is still ****e. You're a mad man 60 quid on our kids/fringe players to beat a practically full strength Southampton! Hope it works out for you though. What odds did ya get?

tbf, that's how you play against any team. sit back and wait for chances.

the first goal was a bit unlucky, decent block that fell straight to clasie. really nice hit, though.

second one, we seemed to have about 10 behind the ball and still the goal got scored. pretty sad stuff.

In the whole scheme of things I'm not too bothered about the league cup.
I'm glad some of the main players were rested (but annoying Elneny picked up a knock).

Saying that, it's a pity we're 2-0 down, a bit demoralising for some of the lads getting a run-out.
