Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great win. Missed the 2nd half of the game. But the first half performence was splendid. Our passing was so crisp and our movement was second to none. Its been awhile since I have seen that sort of cohesian throughtout the side. Anybody any videos of Xhaka's goal. Need to top up the **** bank :D:D

Seems Arsene is a little bit annoyed at the fact that Sanchez took, and missed the penalty.
Santi was down to take it, I don't know why it did not happen, they have pecking order, it was not planned for Sanchez to take it.

"I want to know what happened and for it not to happen again. Overall anyone can miss a penalty, we have to accept that.

If you're going to demand to take a penalty, you really have to make sure you score it, otherwise you're just going to look like a tool.

Would you stop we were wiining one nil and it would have been two only for the red card.

The team was ambitious though - always looking to attack. Interplay was bloody good at times too. Should have been 2 or 3 ahead at that point too.

Missed today's game so will have to wait on MOTD.
    Good win by all accounts.
Anyone know what's wrong with Giroud?

He's had enough attempts! I don't think I've seen someone hit and hope so often.

    Score from a goalkick?

Hardly convincing but would have been 2-0 up after 40 mins if it wasn't handled.

That's convincing enough for me tbh.

Just finished watching a replay of the match, Walcott worked seriously hard today, good to see his head is back on his shoulders.

I take it you didn't see the game so? We were dominant from the start.

Sometimes it's easier to admit you were wrong and take your medicine instead of digging a bigger hole for yourself!

Absolutely amazing goal. Such a shame we couldn't hold onto him. Him and Iwobi could both have been in our team for years to come

Very true considering some of the lads we did hang on to.

The loan to West Brom was a bad move in the end. Will be interesting to see how he goes over there.

On another note, saw them talking about Wilshere on BT Sport there. Sounds like he had an absolute stinker. Only 5 completed passes in the entire first half or something?

Xhaka to a box to box mid instead of a deep lying mid ?

Has he been quoted saying that somewhere? He recently said that about Ramsey, also.

Jack to me was always over rated. Def rather have Xhaka

Watching the highlights on the 7 Plus is sweet!

Mad how quiet it is in here when we win well.

Only saw MOTD, but it looks like Theo is getting his sh*t together. Great to see.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,521 ✭✭✭✭mansize

I didnt watch MOTD, wrecked, and my eyes too tired to watch tv. Saw the goals online.

Theo plays well when the pressure is off.

He was great against City & United at home last year.

I say this admitting I wanted rid of him in the summer.

Prefer to see Walcott in the team than Ox. Much more chance of end product with Theo.

I don't rate Theo at all but your right.

He made quite a few poor decisions today but the two moments that really counted in the match he stood up and delivered.

Add those decisive moments to the recent vastly improved effort and we got a real threat to any team.

    Delighted for him.

Perhaps because you're not working day in day out with the players?

I think it made sense. Not the Xhaka thing but rather Alexis up front.

I would have been sceptical about Theo and Iwobi on the wings but their movement combined with Alexis up top created loads of opportunities.

That was our best performance in a while and it was based on having fast players making lots of runs.

We should have found chances harder to come by but 11 v 11 we were all over them.

They also put us under no pressure whatsoever. It's weird that teams would know that if you press us, we are rubbish.....yet they don't bother.

We pressed so high up the field - left huge gaps at the back. I expect a different game plan against Chelsea

I think Hull were following the time honoured 'sit deep and score from your first counter attack' plan.

Giroud isn't so much use here. Perez probably not great either.

The front three that interchange and attack with pace makes sense.

Vrs Chelsea I'd be far more defensive. However they look a mess at the back without Terry so I might go same front 3 but with Coq/Xhaka midfield.
