Surprised im typing this but ... Wenger got it right today with everything ... passing , dealing with costa , pressure and pressing when not in possession.

Can see Giroud or Perez coming on soon

TBF he was competing with Giroud for the striker role last year, and losing out badly.

He has his confidence back, you could see it growing over preseason

Arsenal fans used to shout Shooooot when any player used to get the ball, now they are doing it when they know the player can score.

I don't know if that's just it, getting dropped for the euros seems to have made him look inward at his performances and change the amount of effort he puts into them, even before the pre-season started he was training to get fitter, with his performance's of late I'd happily keep him in the squad.

Waiting until 10 minutes to go before posting, so as the be relatively sure of the win. Some of the desire shown today is something we haven't seen from a Wenger team in some time. Even Theo is doing it. The determination by Gibbs for that last ditch tackle was case in point and a perfect example of the team's attitude today. Mustafi and Kos are excellent. The front line is working. Our midfield is both solid but also oozes creativity!

All in all a great days work. As we have seen before though, one swallow does not a summer make! Still won't stop me enjoying the f**k out of today though... And a frustrated Costa to boot! Oh yes indeed! He he he!

I don't agree. You may get Giroud in a cup or to rest Alexis but this is the way Wenger wants to play and Giroud clearly can't do it.
