Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've said it before....there would be murder on here if Gibbs made some of the mistakes that Monreal does.

That's the clearest red card you'll ever see.

Cech was very poor for both of todays goals so far.

Xhaka off now. Idiot. Way off the pace and extremely obvious. It's easy to see why coq starts gets his game now.

@eagle eye I'll give you this one, very poor today :pac:

Well yeah, it's a red. Have seen plenty of clearer ones though.

He has a lot to learn. Very immature.

Ah ffs, Arsenal have made a piss easy match at 3-1 into a battle now. All Arsenals own doing. If we don't win this, only have ourselves to blame. Poor attitude thinking they had it won at 3-1 with the flicks and Rabonas.

How was that red? Looked yellow from my seat.

Ill get killed but i think cech has been no where near the levels he was at chelsea since joining us.

    How is that a red?

    Not disagreeing, just surprised.

He really hasn't been anything special.

I don't think that was immature.

That was the 'take the yellow for the team' cynical foul on the halfway line.

Gibbs has done that before that's why he's on the bench.
Having said that Monrael has been poor.

Yeah, my point is that Monreal gets no grief on here when he does it.

    Eh?

Tackle from directly behind. Not even to the side... At least three feet from the ball. Slide tackle, caught his man.

    Red red red.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭JustTheOne

    That was clearly onside.

Ozil and Sanchez off... Yeah I don't like that.

No, only violent conduct. Like technical reds like handling on the line or goalscoring opportunity are one game.

But how the hell was that a red?

    Is no one else wondering?

Maybe so but he has been usually good.
He's getting very little help from the man ahead of him too.
I said in the summer that we needed another good left-back.

    Red red red.

    Which rule is that please?

    Is it violent conduct?

Or is it denying a goalscoring opportunity?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

    Oh so close that

Walcott did well to create a chance there, the pass to him was absolute rubbish.

You can get a red for dangerous/violent play. What are you on about?

So you're saying it's dangerous play and a three match ban?

He's on about the different punishments depending on what the red is for....

In fairness he needed far more cover then what was offered though.

    You're saying red.

    That's fine.

    I'm asking for what.

Tackle from behind isn't a red
    Sliding isn't a red

I'm just asking you on what basis it is a red. Is it violent conduct?

    Jaysis Walcott

    Sitter!

We'll take the win but we were rubbish at the back and wasteful up front.

Level top of the table, only goal difference keeps City above us.

Rightly so you will be unhappy with sloppy defending etc but

You just won and got 3 points on the board while Spurs and City both could only manage draws. points matter and Arsenal have been picking them up recently

Exciting game to be at- cracker from Ozil

    I don't know!

Three points, joint top, city crop points as do Sp*rs. Great day!

Not really worried by the up front bit, we still scored 3. The backline was the shakiest I've seen since the Liverpool match though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Delighted win the win as usual, but Wenger seriously needs to have a word with the players today. That match was made a lot more difficult than what it should have been. We were cruising and stupidly allowed them back in it. Three points all that matters I suppose so can't complain.

Man City and Spurs both dropped points, so all good!

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

    **** yeah, joint top!

The ref was taking the piss with that red. He also didn't even give a ****ing free when the Swansea defender stuck a hand in Walcott's face to stop him getting through on goal. Would have been a total robbery if Swansea had gotten something out of that game.

    Grand.

But it's a bit silly saying it's a definite red if you don't know why.

But you're right. Great day. Whoop!!!!!
