Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So if we keep gaining 3 points every 9 games we'll finish on 84 or so.

    Good enough for me!!

Handy that our Jose hoodoo and our Utd hoodoo are now combined into just 2 games!!!

Yeah, I added another line to the sheet to calculate that today. From below the projected points is just 74 though because if they matched all the rest of last seasons results that's what they'd finish up on

It is a strange world when we're top of the league and some fans want wenger out!

I admit to been part of that.

    Football is crazy.

    Wenger out!

Bring Lucas on and play him on the wing.

Only saw the second half today as I was at a wedding.

What we are lacking is a leader. We have none when the chips are down.

Certainly not in the forwards, Elneny aside. In the backs both Koscielny and Mustafi were outstanding. Few shaky moments but a few absolutely world class tackles under pressure

A leader doesn't put the ball in the net. Not as if anybody stopped trying. We needed a focal point in the box, Giroud is perfect for these games.

Not convinced missing Cazorla was the issue either, we struggled against Burnley with him there.

    Top of the league lads.

How can we still give out.

Will admit worried that mustafi looks a bit of a homer at times but he's young and has great potential.

Lads if Mustafi is worth 35 mill how much is Kos worth he was immense yesterday and has been all season he's really turned into a proper world class centre half

Certainly worth a lot more than Stones, even with the age difference.

For sure. Think Stones was a bit hard done by there. Not sure why Kompany was stepping up instead of leaving him with the passing option that he had.

City only drawing means it's very tight at the top

Yup, and Chelsea win would make it 5 teams within a point of each other.

    I guess that's happening then :D

Tis exciting. And personally I think it'll do us a favour. We tend to fall apart once we go 3-5 points ahead in the league. This gives us a "keep with them" mentality.

I'm actually looking forward to November now!

Spurs only unbeaten team this season, and not even in the top 4 :pac:

Yesterday was Jack's first full 90 in over 2 years. In that time, a lot has happened, including Ozil creating 227 chances :D

I thought we looked so tired yesterday, I'm a bit disappointed we played such a strong team mid week.

Anyway, this season is exciting hopefully we can keep playing well

At least we can rest players for the EFL game and then batter Sunderland next weekend and get back on track

Arseblog is saying that Diaby is injured again. That poor poor guy. I'd have given up on any job that required physical effort and moved behind a desk long ago if I was him.

    Hoping to see this tonight

    Ospina
    Jenko-Kos-Mustafi-Gibbs
    Coq-Elneny
    Walcott-Ozil-Ox
    Giroud

Kos, Mustafi and especially Ozil should probably be rested for a league cup game in fairness.

I think Holding is expected to play tonight - is Gabriel injured?

I imagine Perez will start with Giroud on the bench.

I'd agree normally but I think Kos and Mustafi need more games together, looking shaky at times. And with Ramsey and Caz both out I don't think we have anyone creative enough to play at 10

Aye. maybe you're right, games coming thick and fast though, wouldn't want to risk losing either of them to injury or fatigue for a fairly non important game.

Holding and one of them or gabriel if he's fitmay be what we see. As for the number 10 give Jeff a go, or put Perez behind Giroud, I don't want to see Ozil in the EFL :pac:

I think wenger basically named the team.

    on his squad against Reading…
It will be a similar squad to against Nottingham Forest. We will have Gabriel, Holding, Jenkinson will be back and will play. Jeff Reine-Adelaide will play, otherwise I think Iwobi, Lucas, Oxlade-Chamberlain will also play. Gibbs - who captained the team at Forest - will do it again on Tuesday.

That's the right team to play in this Cup. Our reserve team.

Yes and hopefully enough experience to see them through. I'm backing Lucas to score a couple!!!

Poor Jenks was caught on his bad foot there. I'd have loved for him to score.

Ox 1-0 after some terrible goalkeeping.

Ox took his goal well but has been wasteful otherwise.

Heh as soon as you say that he played peach of a pass to Giroud but Perez was offside, he shouldn't have been! Took the goal well and has had some pretty poor balls lofted his way.

Thought that was 2 :/ Shoulda got a toe on it there Iwobi even if it wasn't an easy one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,678 ✭✭✭Marcus Antonius

Lol that's 2 huge deflection but Ox with the second

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭JustTheOne

    Who dribbled before the goal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,662 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Exact same tackle as Xhaka's there...yellow card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,694 ✭✭✭emmetlego

Have to say, and I'll probably get slated for this! Despite 2 goals, I really think Ox has been poison tonight. Some awful passing and his corners have been atrocious.

On a positive side.. I really like the look of Perez, Shame about the injury. Great to see Jenks back, he had a good game too.
