Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I saw this last night but is there anything concrete about it or is it speculation?

That trip to Old Trafford is becoming less appealing by the day. No Bellerin or Sanchez is a massive blow. We never do well at Old Trafford or against Mourinho teams, not confident of a positive result as things stand.

Sanchez will be fit. I'm pretty sure I posted that 4 times yesterday!

    F*****g November though. WTF man.

Sanchez will be fit as long as Chile look after him. Wenger wants Arsenal medical staff to see his MRI scan to assess how bad it is and whether he should play against Uruguay or not.

The United team we played at Old Trafford last season was appalling and we lost. United under Moyes beat us at OT. It doesnt seem to matter what they do, we need to take the field not beaten in our heads.

Team selection and tactics will decide tomorrow week's game.
Wenger needs to get this right.

Watching Gnarby here for Germany, such a shame we sold him.

It was only San Marino, but Gnabry is the first German debutant to score a hat-trick since Müller in 1976

I know. It's horrendous waiting for injury reports during the interlull, and no Arsenal to fill the gap.

Oh, and mansize, what makes you think I'm a 'he'?

Apparently Sanchez is responding well to treatment and is expected to feature against Uruguay. Mixed news but you csn understand it from the Chilean perspective. Absolutely vital that they get a win in that game.

Sanchez to feature against Uruguay and be unavailable for United is what I'm guessing will happen. Hope he'll come through unscathed though obviously

Disappointed Gnabry forced his way out as I'm sure he would have featured this season but there really was nothing that could be done. Small chance of a buyback clause in hoping but he'll surely be off to Bayern very very soon :(

Hopefully a sell-on clause as well.

Have we any new injuries after the Internationals?
I can't see any reports of any.

Just Bellerin and Sanchez as far as I'm aware. Bad news also that Cazorla is not expected to play at Old Trafford

Koscielny and Giroud are going to be benched tomorrow for the game against Ivory Coast according to reports in France.

And Metersacker is returning to Arsenal to start training following his rehab.

We usually miss a couple of big hitters when we play United. Looks like Saturday will be no different.

United will be missing a few big names too.
We should still win the match if the team is properly prepared.

I've been reading the Man Utd thread and they are going to be missing a couple of their usual back 4. On paper anyway, it looks like a back 4 that can be got at. So that looks promising, however I seem to remember the lineup Man Utd had out against us as Old Trafford last season and then we went out and put on a pathetic performance.

There really does appear to be a mental block with this team when it comes to going to Old Trafford. I'm not confident but the players have an opportunity to put a statement on and that they mean business.

    Mustafi starting for Germany.
Kos on bench, pogba starting though for france.
Walcott & monreal both bench in eng v spain

Rooney, Ibra missing up front too I think.

I'd fear Rashford's pace before I'd fear the other two lads tbh.

Awful foul by Vardy on Azpillacueta. So pleased we didn't get him. Just a thug who had one good season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,426 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Theo on to get crocked. I can just see it happening

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,521 ✭✭✭✭mansize

So glad Vardy isn't at Arsenal.

    Gurrier

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,694 ✭✭✭emmetlego

If Alexis is not fit, we could start Theo up front. He's be more similar to the style we played with Alexis up top, rather than revert to plan B with Oli starting... Although, I'd have no great objection to Oli starting if Alexis is crocked.

PS, when is Lucas Perez back?
