Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seriously? You're at the game, and you're messaging the forum every few mins?? WTF

He only does it when nothing is going on. I guess that's most of the time in this match :D

Still only one shot on target is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Fortunate but the improved intensity and pressing has made it possible.

    Giroud's blocked shot not count?

I dunno tbh. I would've thought no because it never made it to the keeper. I could be wrong though.

I get the point anyway. Still an improved performance from the first half

    PSG responding now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,117 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Cavani should've been booked for simulation there surely.

    Pathetic dive!

More goals in this game. Not won yet.

Agree, like the Mayo GAA, and the Chicago Cubs etc etc. BUT... We are ****e every November!

Coincidence it happens in November. We chronically fail because we walk around the field and make it easy for the opposition to play against us.

Fair play to Giroud though. For all the stick he has taken he puts himself about and shows up at least. if he played on that invincibles team he'd be remembered fondly because he'd get on loads of the chances we created.

    Ramsey and Iwobi off pls

    Xhaka coming on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Nobody is picking up Meunier, Iwobi needs to do his job.

EDIT: Sanchez on that wing now, but still, track the man

Ramsey so close there. Giroud is having a decent game.

Cavani lucky not to be sent off? They showed a replay from a different angle and it shows he caught Ramsey on the cheek when he lashed out in the 1st half. Could have been at least a yellow if the ref spotted that.

Then another yellow for that terrible dive.

He's gone to Chamberlain town via Gibbsville. Next stop Wilshere

We were lucky that was only Cavani. Brainless from Iwobi. What was he trying to do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,428 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Doesn't matter about this game lads as we're going nowhere in this anyway. Out in first knockout round.
Imagine what Real or Barca would do to us.

    Cavani is absolute poop

I'm glad their best chances have fallen to him. He's dogs*it.

Would love to know how many misses Cavani has over the two legs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,117 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

I wonder how bad the French league is that PSG create enough chances for Cavani to score as much as he does.

Has to be in double digits, thank f*ck!

We're doing are best to lose here it would seem. Been poor again tonight. Hope we somehow manage to get a jammy win.

Does it go to away goals or goal difference assuming we draw and both teams win the last leg?

Edit: Just mentioned it there. Away goals!

Goals scored. PSG top as they score 2 in the away fixture. Leaving us clear to draw Barca

Away goals between both teams, so we finish 2nd.

Only plus is we might avoid Bayern. Can't believe they lost to Rostov earlier! But yes finishing 2nd after taking a commanding lead has been our bread and butter in the Champions league for far too long now

Second place then. All too predictable sadly.

Can't really complain, they were better over the two legs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

over the 2 games PSG were much the better team and deserve to top the group

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

1 shot on target I think? A penalty and a poxy OG for our efforts. Our lack of creativity is most worrying

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,428 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

PSG are a far better team than us. Cavani should have had 4.
Yet another awful performance from us.
We'll not be in this competition much longer.

I'd rather Bayern than Athletico tbh. Neither club have been fantastic this season though.

Don't understand why the players weren't really going for it at the end. Very unlikely PSG aren't getting anything other than a win against Ludogourets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭jamescd

Absolute disaster. We could have done with a scoreless draw, but we just had to let them score. Then we go 2 - 1 up and just need to hold on, but let them score again. Not good enough.

Gut feeling telling me it's gonna be Barca again.

My stream kept cutting out, but from what I saw PSG were the better side over the two matches. I'm just worried about the performance. Poor defensively and poor going forward too. We are on a bad run of form, so the positive that can be taken is that at least they haven't lost during this patchy run.
