Pitting on straight razor

Some pittng has developed near blade on my dovo straight razor. I tried naniwa 12k (7/10 strokes). Some diamond spray on strop (7/10 strokes). Still there!!! Any ideas. It's not a new dovo. I got it from eBay. I'd say at least 30 years old. I also strop after shave and rub oil on it but the pitting is there.

How close to the edge is the pitting? Can you get a picture of it?
