hi I was wondering if I should get Aviva deal for 500 euro and be able to drive with parent for 6 months or just get normal lessons for 300 euro. obviously 300 is much cheaper!!

Look at it as 200 euro for half a year of insurance coverage and it's a pretty good deal, really, if you plan to practice with your parents at all (and you really need to get plenty of practice in before you sit your test). Can't speak to the quality of their instructors, though.

If your parents are perfect drivers, then yes, Otherwise it's better to learn from a professional teacher. Practice helps, but only if you are practising the correct things and not bad habits.

The Aviva deal includes the EDT lessons (plus one extra) as well as the insurance coverage, so that isn't an issue. You should definitely practice between lessons in order to get as comfortable with driving as possible before your test date.

What will the insurance cost, to get you added as a named driver?

The only way to truly compare it is to see what the breakdown's on the costs are.

Sometimes the cost of insurance for the second half of the year is so high it would have been cheaper to have gone elsewhere.
