Recommend a nice place to stay near Epping, Essex

    Hi folks, we are going to accompany our daughter as she's heading over to Essex for an interview for summer work next year. It'll be a day out if nothing else! Looking at Accomodation nearby and Harlow pops up but reviews of the place are pretty crap. Any suggestions? Will have a car anyway so travel not an issue but ideally would like to avoid London for a change of scenery.

    Hi,

    I haven't got anywhere specific but Loughton and Chigwell are quite close. It might be worth looking around Woodford / South Woodford which are also on the Epping branch of the Central line if you're using public transport.

    If you're hiring a car all of these places have good access to the A406 North Circular and the M11 for getting there.
