Embed image in a post rather than as an attachment

This is what I read from the help section:

How do I add an image to a post?

If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.



I see no arrow: using a Mac with 10.11.6 and Safari
Maybe I need to go to Spec savers:)

The little upside down triangle beside the paper clip does it. It inserts this code (without spaces)

[ ATTACH]394907[/ATTACH]

And looks like this (I think it will actually imbed the image on forums that allow inline images)

You can upload from your computer directly into a post from the new version of the site; just click on 'Responsive Site' at the bottom of any page and when you make a new post/reply, you will be able to select an image directly from your own files.

You'll need to either use a third party image host and link to that to embed or you can upload an image as an attachment, right click on the image when uploaded and 'Copy Link Location' (or mac equivalent of that) and use the URL to insert the image.

Boards.ie: Niamh

Click on 'Manage Attachments'



Click on 'Choose File' and choose the image file from your computer



Click on 'Upload'



Right click on the image and 'Copy link location' (or Mac equivalent of this)



Select 'Insert Image'



Paste image URL



Should look like this



Click on preview to see the image:



Submit reply.
