The mic on my headset was working fine. I started using an app that turns a phone into a webcam & now the headphones are fine but the mike doesn't work.

The sound settings are showing as connected & working but I can't get the sound level meter to move even with the volume at max. I am wondering if it's defaulting to record sound from the webcam. If so how can I stop this ?

You can set the default sound recording device from Control Panel - Sound

Try un-installing or disabling the app. It may be over riding the default microphone.

Buy A 2 euro headset with mic in dealz or poundland.
