I tip my hat to you. Huge relief now for me, was expecting to be waiting for the next few hours being completely stressed out.

You cover Computer Software in semester one of Maths and Physics which is basically introductory Java. Really enjoyable module with a brilliant lecturer.

In second year you also cover a bit of Matlab and later on in the course some R.

Yeah it's nice they throw in some basic programming into the course. Might do my own learning in my spare time then on top.

Also read about matlab when I was looking at the courses. I mean it's why I had such a hard time choosing, so many of these courses get you to where you want to go so you have to spend ages looking at what's covered.

I liked LC physics so it's not like my second choice is me going from what I want to do to something I hate.

If you liked LC Physics you'll like this course. The Physics in first year is just the LC course with a bit more so you'll fly through those modules. I'm in Applied Physics myself (points went above 400 for the first time in a while, odd.) so I can't help you in terms of the Maths modules.

    Anyway, you'll love UL! :)

Be warned that 465* means random selection (*) ... if you're on exactly 465 you will have to wait until 6 to knew whether your name came out of hat or not. ;)

Wow medicine dropped a lot :O ucd down 6, trinity 3 and rcsi 4! A real levelling out in points across the medical schools, only 7 between ucd and galway now. Hopefully this helps people who were borderline! What a drop though....

So WorthlessPeon, the points dropped! Did you make it?

Thank God I repeated the LC, I got 510 last year and considered taking English Studies at TCD and sitting on my arse for a year but it went up to 515 so phew. Would've been just my luck:rolleyes:
