    Hi,

Is it possible to be tested for autism as an adult? I've had a number of people suggest that I should. I think it would answer a lot of questions I've had.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Yes you can but what makes you think you might be autistic?

Tbh, I'd rather not put it all up here.

A few silly little things I don't mind mentioning are what my career guidance councellor said regarding my aptitude tests, ability with numbers/patterns and social awkwardness.

Is my GP the first person I should talk to?

Mod Please note that even though Daniel S has opened a discussion on Autism, which is fine, it is not appropriate to offer him a diagnosis.

Edit: In light of Daniel's subsequent post I don't think there is any more to be said than,

yes it is possible to be tested for autism as an adult,

and yes, talk to your GP.

    I will close this thread.
