Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shamelessly stolen from the rp but I like southampton to win and under 3.5 goals at 11/8.

Taken Ferreyra anytime for Shaktar away to Gent tonight @3.1 on Bet365

They put 5 past Gent lately and he was on the scoresheet. Hes their highest scorer this season with 5 goals in the league. Seems a decent price.

Taken btts in Ajax v Celta @1.8 on bet365 too

    Both winners

88th minute goal from Ferreyra :) originally awarded to another lad but changed to Ferreyra after. 3-5 there, crazy score.

BTTS a winner in Ajax Celta

Yeah was definitely under 3.5 and southampton win, to be honest it's a bet I've never done before but worked out alright !

They've been on fire this week, find them very good on the euro football - off the top of my head this week they tipped :

    Southampton win and under 3.5
    Shaktar SW
    Leicster - draw
    Juventus Under 2.5
    Bayer Lev + 1
    Fenerbache SW
    Dortmund HT/FT
    Monaco SW
    Sevilla to nil
    Porto to nil
Barca /City Btts and over 2.5
    Arsenal btts and over 2.5

Looking at the weekend, Swansea DC at 11/10. United bogey side away, no first choice centre backs, no Herrera and probably no Pogba.

Can definitely see Swansea taking something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,976 ✭✭✭Trimm Trabb

    My bet for weekend:

    Bournemouth 4/6
    Man City -1 4/6

    Double 7/4 or 1.78

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

    Bets for weekend:

    BTTS in Liverpool game
    Chelsea win
    Bournemouth win
Xhaka to be booked if he starts

    10 Pays 150 if Xhaka is 2/1

add Man city to win it pays 180

Swansea were dog rough the last night, no creativity or competence in the middle of midfield, nothing up front with Llorente isolated, big issues with them for me.

Same could've been said for Stoke and Burnley before they played United.

Also, United haven't won after a Europa League game this season. Played 3, drew 1 and lost 2.

Cant get my head around swansea and the united game, both are in a big muck right now

Swansea v Man Utd is a tricky one but you have to select ranges and assign values, not simply just look for the team you think will win on the day. If you can do it well in the long run you will profit.

Here is my take on the game. Under 3.5 goals is my pick. Its about the value, not just betting with big odds. Its a marathon not a sprint and all that...

    CnY5FVr.png

    Value should be read as:

If you bet €1 on a bet 100 times:

    106% = Total return of €106 = €6 profit = 6% Yield

    94% = Total return of €94 = €6 loss = -6% Yield

Bookies are really disagreeing on the handicap market

    For example: Middlesbrough -1

    Bet365 @ 21
    Coral @ 56

Great example of why you need multiple accounts.

I do it myself. Basic excel skills and some maths are necessary if you want to be able to price up markets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 501 ✭✭✭Division

Little accum for the weekend with an expected strike rate of 26%. EV is a bit larger than you would expect as I disagree with the bookies ratings by a large margin on the over/under market in Bournemouth v Sunderland.

    Burnley Double Chance
    Stoke Double Chance
    Bournemouth v Sunderland - Under 3.5 Goals
Swansea v Man Utd - Under 3.5 Goals

    5/1 Boylesports

It's down to 2 in our local Last Man Standing. I have Chelsea, Utd, Leicester, Southampton (among others). Anyone care to throw out an opinion in who to pick?

Tough week, could be a few upsets.

Would avoid Leicester as they are without their first choice goalkeeper, have to see how they handle that.

Hull didn't allow a shot on target last time out but they are the weakest opponent of your options.

Everton can spring a surprise but Chelsea are so good at home this season.

Utd are unreliable so would leave them for another week and wait for them to play at home.

    Good luck.

Anyone waiting for Everton to score (5-0 down, 15 mins left) to bring up "every team to score in today's 5 PL games"? I'm not, but some people on this forum seem to like those kinds of bets.

Liverpool enhanced from 1/4 to Evens (Max Stake €20) when you place the bet in the Paddy Power Messenger App.

Just text your Stake and ENHANCED LIVERPOOL.

Posted in wrong thread last time

Going for BTTS @1.88 on Betfair Exchange in Swansea v Man United

United have failed to win any game after the Europa league this year. They conceded three against Watford post Europa, one against Stoke and four against Chelsea. BTTS landed in the Watford and Stoke games but not the Chelsea one.

BTTS has landed 8/10 recent head to head between the two and 8/10 of Swansea's recent matches

No Herrera, Bailly, Smalling or Valencia for United today - Herrera and Bailly out are the biggest help to the Swans getting on the scoresheet. Pogba is also out but he wasn't being used right anyway.

As bad as United are at scoring lately, Swansea are also a complete mess so I think United should net one. Two calamities finding the net against each other today hopefully.

Best of luck with any bets lads.

Lucas playing Centre half for Pool today.

He's @2.5 for a booking on most books however betfair sportsbook still have him @4.00 for a booking. Huge price imo so I am on.
