Dined with a buddy last night and helped her kid fix a puncture on his bike. The tyre is extremely bald and kind of plasticiney in feel; it's no wonder he's been getting punctures. The size seems to have worn off it. How does one measure a wheel for the correct tyre size (other than bringing the bike into the shop)? This is very narrow. His mother said she was stiffed for something like €50 last time she replaced it, but she probably got the shop to put it on.

Just bring one of the current tyres into the shop and ask if they have one the same size?

if they are the stock tyres that came with the bike, just check the tinternet on the other hand if they were replaced already LBS it is so!
