Hi Richer Sounds, I'm looking for a recommendation for a pair of Floorstanders & matching centre speaker. The room in pretty large at 60 square metres so I want to fill that space. the current speakers are mordaunt short premiere 5.1 which I bought from richer a good few years ago. I might keep the MS sub and satellites for now. Detail in the mid range is what I need, and to fill the room. Why would you recommend? Somewhere in the €700 - €1200 range

Hey Kildafornia.

Thanks for the post.

The Premiere 5.1 pack was a great little speaker setup and was very very popular indeed.

If you want good detail and tight bass response I would look at the Monitor Audio Silver 1 or 2 bookshelf speakers which really are fantastic.

Silver 1's priced at £500 / 639.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.com/product/standmount-speakers/monitor-audio/silver-1/moni-audi-silv-1-blk

Paired with the Silver LCR coming in at £375 / 479.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.com/product/centre-speakers/monitor-audio/silver-centre/moni-audi-sil-cen-bk

Coming in at £875 or 1119.98 Euro - I could offer at £815 or 1030.00 Euro

If you added the 2's instead which are £650 or 829.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.com/product/standmount-speakers/monitor-audio/silver-2/moni-audi-silv-2-blk

I could do the 2's and LCR for £950.00 or 1200.00 Euro

To get floorstanding speakers as good as these bookshelfs you would be looking at the silver 6 priced at £1000 or 1265.00 Euro
http://www.richersounds.com/product/floorstanders/monitor-audio/silver-6/moni-audi-silv-6-blk

Again for these and the LCR I go to £1250 or 1580.00 Euro - Pushing you over budget but what a fantastic pair of speakers.

There is also the Bronze range from Monitor Audio the Bronze 6's again great speakers, more bass over mid or high but still nice speakers. I use these myself.

Bronze 6 priced at £699 or 979.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201443-bronze-6-walnut.aspx

Bronze Center priced at £159.95 or 224.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-12909-bronze-centre.aspx?swapstore=1

I could offer the bronze 6's and center for £810 or 1025.00 Euro

Let me know what you think.

Don't forgot we also offer our price beat. If you can find the same deal cheaper including delivery if can not be collected locally, we will try and beat that price.

How about the Q ACOUSTICS 3050?

Specifically the pair of floor standers in walnut,
http://www.richersounds.com/product/floorstanders/q-acoustics/3050/qac-q3050-wal

…and the centre also in walnut
http://www.richersounds.com/product/centre-speakers/q-acoustics/3090c/qac-q3090c-wal

What could you do them for, delivered to Kildare?

Hey kildafornia.

Yip the 3050 are also a very good speaker paired with the 3090 center.

I don't really have the same movement on these as with Monitor Audio and on checking at the moment we are offering Richersounds vouchers on the 3050's at £499.00 or 579.99 Euro. (£70 Voucher) So in theory you could use that £70 voucher off of the Center/package even though its meant to be an in store only deal:
*Purchase this product and receive a £70 Richer Sounds voucher! In -stores only. Not in conjunction with any other offer.

Total price for the 3050 and 3090c would be £628 or 729.96 euro. -£70 / 88 Euro would come to £558 or 641.96 Euro.
There would be a £6.99 delivery on sterling pricing and its included in the Euro pricing.

I don't suppose you fancy a trip to our store here in Belfast to have a demo?
You couldn't really even compare the 3050 to the Silver range and if your looking to go up to 1200 Euro the 3050 might disappoint.
All the speakers I have listed above also come in a walnut finish.

It can be tough when making such a large purchase without hearing them.

If your thinking around the 3050's you could also check out the Dali Zensor 5's coming in at £549.00 or 654.00 Euro
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-11548-zensor-5-black.aspx?swapstore=1

Or the Bronze 5's also at £549.00
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-12904-bronze-5-black.aspx

There are so many options.

Hey Kildafornia.

I've also just remembered we have an open box pair of the Bronze 6's in the Black finish (I know you said Walnut but I could offer these for £615 or 778.00 Euro)

These speakers where purchased by a customer in our store. He got them home and lifted only one out of the box and it didn't fit (as they are large). He boxed it up and returned them, taking away Silver 1's instead.

One speaker is 100% boxed unopened and they other was out for all of 5 minutes before being re-boxed. (Fully checked by ourselves on their return).

@Kenny

Bronze 6's sound interesting, but where are you getting your exchange rate? According to XE £699 = €821, and £159 = €186, and while we're at it, £810 = €951!

Hi kildafornia,

Our euro prices online are reflective of not just the exchange rate but the Irish market as well. I would recommend paying in Sterling as you would get a better exchange rate with the bank and it should work out cheaper.

Kind regards

Sorry to get in to the thread, but out of curiosity, how you guys will compare the sound from Bronze 6 vs Silver 6? Would be a massive difference in the soundstage, the depth of the sound, the details in the sound, etc? The Bronze 6 is with 3 drivers and bigger volume cabinet vs Silver''s 6 two drivers and smaller cabinet?
Thanks.

Hi T.w.a.T.

There is a good bit of difference between the Bronze 6 and the Silver 6. The Silvers are a much more detailed speaker especially on the mid/high range. The bass is also different. Whereas the Bronze speakers will give you a very deep (bass):o the Silver's give a much tighter, punchier bass and is a good bit more tonal as well. The Silver 6 are a great speaker and I actually prefer them to the Silver 8s as well as I find them a lot cleaner and the soundstage is a lot more sophisticated.

Hope you've found the information useful.

Many thanks

David

Hi David,

just a quick Q, is any chance you can supply few meters of Monitor Audio Pureflow Bi-wire Silver speaker cable?

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately I don't have any of the Pureflow in stock, it's something I haven't seen in years actually. If you're looking for some good bi-wireable cable I would recommend a couple of the Audioquest cables. Either the FLX 14/4 at £5.80 p/m or the Type 4 at £14 p/m. I took the Type 4 home a while ago and was blown away by it.

Let me know what you think.

David

Thanks for the answer. I was kind of expecting that answer, 'coz I can't find it as well. :)  I'm using MA Pureflow bi-wire Silver at the moment and I'm happy with the sound, but want to move one of the speaker a bit, but the cable is a bit short, that's why I was asking.
I'm looking at some Chord's cables and VDH cables, but they have so many choices, and I'm confuse which would suite my hearing. :)

Never look at Audioquest before, you recon would be nice?

The Audioquest cables are great. I was using Pureflow for a few years on a pair of B and W floorstanders and upgraded to the QED Silver Anniversary XT recently. That cable is worth looking at as well, it brings out a lot of detail (£6.50 p/m).

To be honest, I don't want to replace my cables with the same cables, but different brand. If I'm gonna change them, I'll have to look to upgrade them, not staying on the same level, if you know what I mean.

Any suggestion on upgrading over them entry levels cables?

Thanks.
