Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

My '03 Golf 1.9 TDI is acting up a bit today, was running fine last night. There's about 115k miles on the clock and it's only driven maybe 10k a day mon-fri then 100k up and back again at weekends, serviced and NCT'd back in March.

When not engaged the clutch pedal seems a bit stiffer to push down and the gear stick itself is nigh on impossible to get into first and it takes some forcing and jigging to get it in place. When going into first the revs jump a bit because the clutch seems slow to come back up and then you can almost forget about switching gears.

I'll try drive it home tonight from work (5 mins to home) but for tomorrow any idea what might be wrong? I've no idea about cars or what damage I can expect to the poor old wallet in the coming days!

Sounds like the clutch is shagged, best get to a mechanic.
