Camera Lens Advice - Present

Hi All,

Would appreciate if anyone had any advice regarding camera lens recommendations and where to purchase?

Want to buy a camera lens as a present for the missus who has a Canon EOS 1100D. Currently she has the standard lens 18-55mm.

Was hoping to get something which would be an improvement with regards to a wide angle lens with an increased zoom. Camera would be mainly used for landscape photo's on random trips around Ireland.

This lens looks great Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens but is unfortunately is way out of my price range. Was hoping to spend around €200.

You could look at something like the 55-250 which would complement the 18-55 rather than replace it.
Even incuding delivery this should fit your budget nicely.

if you are looking for a wider lens then the canon 10-18 also fits nicely into your budget.

Sigma 35mm is designed for crop sensors. Zoom lenses at your price range are crap. Spend more or get a 1.8 for 100 quid. Far better pictures but not great for landscapes on the 1100.

Bottom line is this business costs money

A good all over lens, price is good, shop has had mixed reviews - but I have used them with no issues:
