    Where's the scam?

They are replica frames. A quick look at the website shows it done by some one with very little experience.

You'd be a madman to buy from them without PayPal though.

There's no statement that they're replicas, they also "sell" groupsets, no danger of replicas here, right?

The scam is that they don't deliver the goods, replicas or otherwise.

I was going to treat myself to a Bianchi Superpista frameset for a Big Birthday and this listing came up on a search:

    http://petercycle.com/products/Bianchi-Super-Pista-2012-Frameset.html?setCurrencyId=2

This was a great price (50% off) also, Superpistas are only available officially in the U.S., these guys would ship to Ireland!

However I had a "funny feeling" about the site today and a little digging revealed the following:

    https://who.is/whois/petercycle.com

    - the domain is registered in Indonesia (flag)
    - contact address is a gmail account (flag)

    some more investigation:

    https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/petercycle.com

Bottom line: if the price is too good to be true...

Beware petercycle.com! And any other "bargain" sites!

Just click the contact details on the website and you'll see the address:

    Jln. Batik Manteron No.33 - Bandung 40123
    West Java
    Indonesia

if that site had all the road bikes in stock, that they say, they have, they would have over 2,000 bikes in stock. Thats just road bikes, and one bike per size.

There have been lots of scam sites emanating from Indonesia. They pretty much have any bike/frame you search for, in your size and at an unbelievable price. Basically, if living in Ireland, why would you buy from Indonesia? Import duty plus VAT will erode any saving you think you are making and that's if you are even lucky enough to have the goods shipped!

    A big capital AVOID !
