Leaving a job and holiday pay

Quick question. I've handed in my notice and just want to double check my holiday entitlements. I read somewhere that if you have worked over 1365 hours in the year you are entitled to full holiday pay, but I've since been told that if you leave your holiday pay is calculated at 8% of what you worked. Can anyone shed any light on this? I've worked about 1440 hours so far this year.

You are entitled to annual leave accrued at 8% of time worked up to 20 days leave per year. Most companies have a January 1st to December 31st working year. So, if you work 5 days per week since January 1st, you divide 20 by 52 and multiply it by the number of weeks in this year up to the date you leave. Then of course you deduct any leave days you have taken already this year.
