    Guys

Anyone know the process for buying ammunition in Northern Ireland. I've heard ammunition is cheaper up there and I'm up there one or twice per week.

    Thanks a million

You need an import license and a visitors pass for NI. Your Irish license covers you when you are in the South.

Some ammo in NI, and i hope someone from the North will correct me if i'm wrong, is classed as target and the rest expanding. The target stuff they can sell you without a NI FAC but the expanding ammo you'll need a NI FAC.

The NI visitors pass is easy enough do and requires a sponsor. Cost is, IIRC, £12 or so.

Out of curiosity how much cheaper is the ammo? I haven't done this in a while and back then the price was not cheaper and definitely not when you factored in the exchange rate.

Sorry for barging in but if the NI dealer could organise a courier delivery would an import licence be sufficient ?
