Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The M20 in Kent is closed between junctions three and four because of a “vehicle striking a bridge” on the eastbound carriageway, according to Highways England.

That's the main route to France.

    One person injured.

Interesting that the HGV badly damaged in the accident worked for P & D Foley Transport Ltd. of Wexford (see pictures attached below), however truck has Polish number plates (WGM 6PH2) and trailer has unknown for me AS 3527 plates. Tried to find similar EU plates to determine what country it's registered in - no luck.

Two photos of best resolution I could find in the net. If anyone found better ones to help with trailor's identification - would be great.

The AS.... Is a trailer number, looks like the driver forgot to put the correct plates in when he hitched up .

I bet this is them out exciting Sunday you've had in weeks ? :D

Was it the Flannery Plant Hire excavator on the back of the truck on the hard shoulder that made the collision or the other truck?

That's one of my thoughts as well, but that number appears to be in two places on the rear of the trailer - on its door and on reg plate usual place (althogh partially visible only).

If that's true, the driver would actually not be able to put any other number plates to it, as trailers are required to have their own reg plates in most of EU countries AFAIK.

According to authorities the cargo of the lorry on hard shoulder caused the whole mess, however it's unclear what exactly.

It looks like there were 3 machines over there - "dunno what" ;) , mini dumper and a digger.

You would think the guy carrying the plant would have known his height an arm raised too high maybe.

Probably wasn't arsed measuring, plenty don't as it evident with all the bridge strikes here, almost a weekly occurance. The company who own the truck should have a £100k fine at a minimum, the impact of this is going to cost tens of millions in delays all because someone is a lazy or thick bollix.

Forget the reg numbers of the lorry, just thankful that no one was killed when it came down.
