I wouldn't buy that machine off ebay anyway. If you wanted to go that route you'd be better off building it yourself. There's not much to it, and an absolute tonne of resources online about how to do it.

I would even say that 8GB of RAM is not enough if you're going to be editing video. I would want 16GB. It's a desktop, RAM should be a good bit cheaper. Hell my 8 year old desktop had 8GB of RAM from new!

I've been looking in to the option of building it myself (as you can see from a couple of my recent posts :o ) but I just don't have the time at the moment to do the required research for which components to purchase. I've tried searching for previous threads that might match my requirements in the hope I could just copy the components they used but all the threads are 1 year old or more so most likely outdated already.

At this stage I think just paying the extra money for a pre-built machine will have to be the way I go.

    Maybe check out: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/

I've heard lots of good things about their laptops, and I'd rather buy from them over the ebay seller you listed. You should be able to spec up a fine machine for a 1000 budget.

(Also worth noting about the ebay link, that includes no OS, so you would need to consider that when buying too).

Steep. See if dropping GPu to a RX460 will save you much, it's a great wee GPU

would he not be better off dropping the CPU and ram and going for a better GPU?

I've read online that i7 and at least 16gb ram is best for live streaming which is why I've gone for that.
