Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Skoda Octavia..Remote locking or not

    Just bought a Zero Two Skoda Octavia 1.9 tdi Ambiente, The car has central locking, I received 2 keys but neither of them has any remote buttons on them, one of the keys has a button for a inbuilt light on the key. My question is ( silly as it may be) Does this car have remote locking or not? The manual covers all models and specifications and is of no use to determine the answer. Could not find a specific answer on Google either...Any answers much appreciated.

    No. The 02 ambiente I had didn't have it on the key button.

    They sometimes have a little bulb built into the key, there's a button for that.
    They don't usually have remote locking standard though AFAIK.

    I have the same type car. And had the same problem.

    However, I found a company in the UK that supply remote systems for central locking.

    It's been a few years now since I had it fitted, and I think I paid about £30.00 Sterling for it, and a guy here in Cork fitted it for me for about €60.00.

    Personally I think it was money well spent, and to date I have never had a bother with it.
