Problem with brakes
07 Avensis
When I press brakes they work good until the last few meters, then the pedal starts to fight against my foot, pulsing

I have changed disc and pads but problem still there

Any ideas?

Sounds like ABS pulsing which is normal
You can take it to a local mechanic just to get a second opinion and be sure

Have you bled the brakes

Ya bled brakes.
It gets worse when in traffic. E.g. driving round town and have to use brakes alot

When I press on brake pedal when turning the brake sometimes will not press and need to release brake and reapply to stop

Usually at slow speed when turning on side of hill

If they don't work sometimes I'd say they don't "work good"
There could be a problem with the brake lines themselves.
How old is car? What make?
Have you been to a mechanic?

Went to mechanic,
change discs and pads and bled system
Told him it was still happening, said to give it a few days of driving

07 Avensis Diesel, said it could be ABS control if it does not fix itself which he said is expensive to change

Thinking of changing car but nobody will buy when they take her for a spin :-(

Does the abs light come on when it happens?

No but the ABS light comes on for a few seconds at random times
