Better to get set up early on the Friday even if it is raining, have a shower and enjoy a few beers afterwards. It would be torturous trying to get it done on the Saturday morning especially if it's raining and there's a big crowd trying to get into the campsite.

SATURDAY: Heavy, thundery rain in places Saturday morning will clear away northwards with sunny spells developing and mainly dry weather following for the afternoon and evening. With the clearance the weather will turn fresher and less humid with afternoon temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees. Turning cool Saturday night with temperatures falling to between 6 and 9 degrees.

This seems a more optimistic outlook for Saturday. (Taken from the met eireann website)

As a person with a disability, I'm going to need to bring some stuff with me on Saturday. If I can't bring a backpack, will a plastic bag be ok?

You'll probably need to make it known in advance if you're taking in medication (I'm assuming).

Yeah there is coaches too but not sure of their details. Dublin bus must be purchased in advance and not available on the day

I think Dublin Bus tickets are gone off sale but Marathon have buses going where you cna pay on the day.

I was saying the possibility of people having gigantic ones full of bars they plan to sell inside, would take ages to search through.

I would be utterly amazed if they confiscated the vast majority of regular small backpacks people bring to slane -it would be all over the media if they did. In a previous year they retracted this supposed ban.
