Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Beginners Powerlifting in Dublin?

I have been going to my gym for over a year and I like using dumbbells and barbells and I like the feeling of getting stronger.

I would really like to try powerlifting for further strength training.

I emailed my gym and they recommended using a personal trainer. Although I like the idea of having one, I don't think I'd be able to afford one.

I figured if I was shown how to use the weights correctly, then I could just train on my own.

Is there anywhere in Dublin which specialises in powerlifting for beginners?

I live in south west Dublin.

I currently work in Sandyford and I go to one of the Flyefit gyms in the city centre on fri, Sat & Sun.

Sandyford is a great place for choice of gyms. A few great ones around. I live and train there.

As for club/team based powerlifting; I'm not sure if there are group classes. I know of some trainers working around that do semi-private sessions if you can find a friend that wants to pair up with you?
