Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am repeating my leaving cert this year and I am considering taking up a new subject. I intend to retake all of the same 7 subjects plus a new one. I am currently studying biology french physics and applied maths. Coupled with the hpat, I am wondering what is the best possible subject relative to the subjects i have to achieve an A1? I'm quite a capable student just looking for the easiest viable option. Business, Economics, Ag science and construction were all suggested options but i am completely open to any ideas? Thanks

Why are you doing an extra subject? Do you think you will hav a problem in one of your seven?

Business is the only one that you've suggested that I do. It's not a very tough subject tbh. It's a long enough course though! You could probably cut it down if you were smart enough about which questions you're going to do. It's all theory and nothing is very complicated or in any way difficult to learn! Anyone could do well with a bit of work and by practicing exam papers. If you did Junior Cert business too, it makes everything a little easier cause you'll already know all the basics and background to the course.

I'm repeating this year too and my school told me to take up Geography as a new subject! Apparently it's very doable in a year but I haven't actually done it yet so don't take my word for it! Might be something to consider though!

I am considering the extra subject as i might drop to pass English dependant on the workload! Business was one I was probably more drawn towards but supposedly it is quite difficult achieve an A from what I've heard? The project is what deters me from geography, I would rather the exams together within the month as opposed to the added element of project work earlier in the year.
