I am in Wicklow town on the side of a hill and those clouds have made the sky go very dark. Wicklow perfectly positioned to grab any precipitation from those very cold northerlies. It is pretty Baltic for early November! Love it! Can't see it being cold enough to fall as anything white though I live in hope.

One of them drifted in over Arklow town in the last half hour

A completely cloudless blue sky here. Up to 7 degrees now from a 2 degrees start and frosty windscreens for the first time this season.

It's absolutely glorious here in West Cork. Bright sunshine, a nice air clearing breeze and not too cold. More of this, I hope.

What a great day. Bright and sunny all day here in Kerry only getting up to 10.6C but pleasant in the sunshine, cooling down fast now to 7.3C

Tis bitter out there today, had a shower of graupel at about 3pm. Its 3.9 degrees right now.

Last night was the first time the dew point went negative this season.

Have loved this Autumn so far..its been so dry and bright and the best bit ..windless... Its getting cold alright but thats way better than storms imo...Do you think we are on track for MT's prediction of snow end of Nov/Dec?..I always cant wait for snow but then the reality of it bites with dangerous roads etc...would still like some tho!!

Intense shower of graupel there about 5mins ago on Inch Island, Donegal. Happened so suddenly, crazy gusts of wind too, dogs were terrified!

The WRF predicting quite a few showers / prolonged spells from streamers overnight mainly in the NW and Western half of the country and elsewhere also. Not particularly cold overnight but I wonder will mountain tops have a few white caps on them early tomorrow.

Uppers cold but lower temperatures look to stay above freezing for the most part. Did notice some of the models showing snow in the Wicklow region overnight.

It's been an amazingly dry spell with just 2mm of rain recorded in the last 19 days at my station. Taking into account all the different factors I wouldn't be surprised to see snow at lower levels before the end of the month. MT eludes to the fact at the end of his forecast today

25 mm of rain so far from Irish Sea showers in this northerly in Pembrokeshire
So I think we're good to go next month if we can get the cold air and A northeasterly so OUR showers go where they rightfully belong, westward into the east coast :D
It's some Sea when it gets going!
25mm is about a foot of snow equivalence by the way :)

    Ooops wrong thread :p
Bit northeast tonight so expect showers in the East and a bit dryer in W and SW than it was at times today
    Hard frost well inland!

Was in Tramore today it was Baltic cold really uncomfortable actually with the wind. Don't think the wintry showers being touted came along....

just had a very brief rain shower here, sky clearing now, if it freezes later, the roads will be lethal in the morning

Temps to increase by dawn, so even if it freezes you probably won't be out on the roads to notice.
